Because it comes with 2.5mm balance cable for the first time for Philips. And for some reason they think it is needed to confirm 4.4mm connectors would work for this specific head phone. I mean, they were out of the game for quite a while.

Does D5 get hot when playing? Cause 1 thing I am very satisfy with my DX3 Pro now is that it does not get hot at all.

If you look really closely you could see it is actually FD 02, and that was some cheap chifi cable.

The biggest issue I had with MDR 1R wasthe noise made by the connection between the 3.5mm jack and the headphone. it happens whenever i move my head slightly. I hope they have fixed this issue such that it won't happen again on either stock or aftermarket cables.

I have Dorado and FD02. And I love both of them. Dorado is more V-shaped while FD02 has a stronger presence at mid. Both share good separation and clarity. Since you already have some bassy IEMS, I think FD01 would be a good addition.

I own FD02 but I want to confirm that it feels comfortable when wearing in ear hook style. Almost as good as AKG N40, better than CA Dorado. And the isolation is also good, it is similar to Dorado, (way) better than N40.
