JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
If you had an issue with tinnitus in the past, the roxanne's may be a good bet for you. I suffered tinnitus from the U12's (had never had it before either) and returned them after 3 days for the Roxanne's and haven't looked back.- dpwolfordMD

JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
It's almost a crime there isn't more activity on this thread. Still loving my roxanne's 4 months into owning them. Probably about the longest I have kept a pair of IEM's (loved my Atlas). Posted some impressions in the Lola thread just now. Still on the original Comply Large foam tips and plan...- dpwolfordMD

JH Audio Lola Impressions and Discussions
Really fascinating read comparing the various TOTL iem's from both mwhals and Maxwell. I ended up getting the Roxanne universals back in February (2019) after returning my 64audio U12's for being too bright and causing tinnitus after just 3 days. Audio46 in Manhattan only had the Roxanne's in...- dpwolfordMD

JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
Just got these and all I can say is my #1 totl IEM this is after Campfire Atlas, Solaris, 64 audio u12t, iSine20, iSine i4 Thought the u12t was a keeper but the fit was tricky and then so bright they gave me a little tinnitus. This is coming from a metal head who only listens to metal. Have the...- dpwolfordMD

Pioneer XDP-300R | Twin DAC ES9018K2M | Balanced Out | Android | MQA | 2x MicroSD | WiFi | AptX
The problem is that this player has like 7 ohm output impedance so with Tidal I cant Really adjust the EQ (Kinda wish I hadnt Bought it actually). This means that for some sensitive IEM’s like the campfire and perhaps your MEE that bass will suffer. A/B testing between the Fiio M9 or AK sr15...- dpwolfordMD

Astell & Kern SR15: A&norma Impressions & Reviews
Here's my little update: so after ebay had the 15% off sale on dec 30th or somehwere around there, I snagged a brand new SR15 for $600 shipped (15% off coupon). Arrived a few days later but had no clue how to sideload Tidal to use it for offline listening (like 95% of my use). So found the link...- dpwolfordMD

Campfire - Solaris
I am so excited about these. plan to order mine next week with my amazon credit card (I like how campfire accepts this form of payment). sold my atlas to get the LCDi4 but was sorely sorely disappointed and promptly returned them for a refund. at this point i’ve had the comet, polaris, atlas and...- dpwolfordMD

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion
right there with you mine did the same thing and this is not my first rodeo w Audeze products. I know a defective one when I hear it and seems like audeze is unknowingly reselling faulty products. incredibly underwhelmed with the i4’s and regret jumping on this b stock sale. sometimes when it’s...- dpwolfordMD

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion
well needless to say my experience with the i4 has been short lived. so I just got them today: beautiful packaging and flawless finish, however the issue lies in the Rt side planar driver. It produces a distracting crinkle with small motions such as walking or head movement. also I remember my...- dpwolfordMD

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion
No it is not an either/or on the cable, just that they will include a cipher cable at no extra charge. Here’s the thing tho, folks who buy used are having to buy on good faith, but this is essentially a new used IEM verified by Audeze as being essentially new- dpwolfordMD

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion
tbh as someone who bought the isine10 w cipher cable and now the b stock i4, the last thing i want is an inferior cable designed to let me run my iems off my phone. at this point I have a decent pocket amp thus I want to utilize the $400 cable that comes stock w the i4. and again they should...- dpwolfordMD

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
very very annoying trying to rummage through all the provided tips to find that they are all garbage. the only tip that I felt worked best for me was the Spiral Dot (L since I have a big ear canal) the fit, isolation and overall richness of the sound was unparalleled. I attribute this to the...- dpwolfordMD

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution
awesome. subbed im on the campfire Atlas and fiio Q5 amp fantastic sound big meaty bass—both sub and mid, slight slight recessed mid and treble but overall great separation recent bands: bruce dickinson “space cowboys”, dark tranquillity-any, amorphis “under the red cloud”-album, Kataklysm- dpwolfordMD

nice ok thanks for clarifying that. actually I used to have the Micro black label but it was so embarrassingly bulky!!!! the xbass and 3d switches were cool but don’t personally think the atlas needs any further tuning. for desktop or transportable use it’s a great amp tho- dpwolfordMD

ifi Nano Black or Micro black you’re referring to? and oh jeez I hope I didnt mess up getting the Q5! I got the Fiio Q5 and it’s been nothing short of amazing. portable, great SQ, flawless bluetooth connection to iphone. the cable slot is upgraded compared to the Q1 mk2 as well. mojo is too thick—same with ifi nano BL, ifi xDSD looks like an alien artifact. ifi Micro is a joke for...- dpwolfordMD

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova
I A/B tested my Atlas on the dongle (iphone 7+) vs the basic Fiio Q1 amp. what a difference it made in terms of frequency response in the lower range. On the dongle I was simply getting 1 bass note but amped I was hearing each variation in the bass. Have since moved on to their new Q5 and not...- dpwolfordMD
