are these DAPs still plagued with headphone jack problems? (maybe a dumb question, but) can the problem be bypassed by adding a short 3.5mm adapter cable and only unplugging/replugging into that end? edit: looks like DP-X1A has been improved.

i'm in the market for a DAP and tempted to pull the trigger on this one! is this the best bang for the buck DAP in the $200 price range? i don't think i want to step up to the X5 3rd gen price...

i have a pair of fidelio x2's and you are correct -- there is no way you would think they sound horrible/muffled/imbalanced/crappy. something is wrong with those.

regarding an upgrade to a chord mojo, i've read it would be better for a person who is going to use it as a portable. in my case, i'm looking for a desktop DAC/amp and ordered a schiit modi multibit + jotunheim. i'm going to keep the HP recommendations for future reference! thank you everyone...
