I used to have ath a900 some time ago and i sold them because of there poor mids. The RX900 are better overall sounding than A900.the RX900 has very pleasant presentation. The bass is detailed & punchy with good impact,not boomy at all but it doenst go very deep. the mids are clear and smooth...

the rx900 sounds very expanded & deep with very good separation between the instruments with alot of air. the music seems as if it sounds live in a big room,the instruments sound as if they were around me. I personally would not use it for rock.

I have received rx900,i dont know but i am bit disappointed,out of box they sound congested and the highs sounds very poor & with lack of detail . they are quite behind compared to hd600,i will burn-in the rx900 for 100hrs to see if they get better.

the goldring dr150 is the best sounding headphones under 150 bucks and they are very musical.

you should try the goldring dr150,they will eat any headphones under 150 bucks and they sound far better then the senn 595hd.

there is a very easy way to accelerate the burning-in for blackgate. you just have to turn-off the pc, unplug it and turn it on and off for while.do it as many time as you can. i was doing it this trick and i was amazed with results,the sound become more and more clearer,open and detailed...
