Another player u might want to consider is the cowon's g3 in case u want to go for a simple player that runs ~35 hrs on an alkali (manufacturer rated it at 50 hrs, but ppl say that is unrealistic). It has a small 4-line lcd, in case ur going for something simple w/o photo or video capabilities...

lol I had a similar (but less severe) experience when I got the ety er-6i's a mth ago. The tri-flanges cause marks in my ears and some soreness, so I make sure to swap them out for my px100's after ~4hrs.

A few days ago while I was studying for finals (>_<), I used my ety's er-6i with the tri-flanges for just four hours. It was late at night so I decided to take a light nap, but I feel asleep with them on... I had a huge headache in the morning and a fever during the school day. The fever...
