Has an artists behaviour ever turned you off their music?
I'd have to say Roger Waters... too full of himself, and his own pretentiousness.. that said I still love the music .. but its always in the back of my mind (actually the exact same could be said for Richard D. James [Aphex Twin]) I'd echo comments about Michael Jackson and Metallica too. -
good electronic music to relax to?
bonobo - animal magic boards of canada - a beautiful place in the country -
Your undiscovered gems; obscure new music
If you like Neon Golden, you'd probably love The Postal Service's "Give Up" as well so... slightly more pop and electronic, but just as upbeat and easy to listen to (if not more so).. well worth a purchase. -
Albums, you can't wait to get your hands on?
Interpol and Bjorks new album... roll on August -
So what after Kind Of Blue?
Keith Jarrett - The Koln Concert ... its live and unrehearsed, totally free flowing and spontaneous piano jazz, the melodies are unbelivable at times. I'd rate that as a second must-have above any other Miles stuff.. of which I have a decent amount. -
Are you a single's guy or an album's man ?
albums all the way.. have about ten singles and 400+ albums .. even compilation cds I tend to avoid (except record label samplers).. songs should be listened to in the right context and mood of the rest of the album -
The best song title.
"If You're A Wizard Then Why Do You Wear Glasses?" by the Liars.. brilliant -

What is the Saddest song ever written?

Air: "Talkie Walkie"
I'll agree its very well recorded (I mean its Air, all their stuff is), buts its also incredibly boring, and I can see it sitting gathering dust on the shelf like Moon Safari for a long long time. The opener Venus is easily the top pick (and imo an absolutely brilliant track).. from there... -
