Weirdly enough, the new pads are actually bigger in height. Only thing smaller is how deep they are by 1mm. The main difference is that the new ones that simulate the old, small pads have a layer of foam on the back. I don't own them btw, just from the site

After checking, the depth of the new pad revision is 1mm less than the current pads but the same width and more height

I'm worried sbout this new pad revision... there is a frequency response graph comparing the pads on Massdrop. The wording is confusing but the newer pads seem even warmer and bassier than the old ones. They're also bigger than the current pads and have foam dampening, which could just muffle...

Yes, those are definitely the old pads, seeing as the inside is smooth.

Found these brainwavz pads on amazon and they looked intresting... they have the same foam layer of the original smaller pads and look to be decent replacements but they may or may not fit the 99C's. They also look a bit thinner so they could sound worse that some of the other replacement pads...

Don't know about the 2nd gen pads but the newest pads started being shipped around early 2017 AFAIK

I just contacted Parts Canada Lenbrook (Where you can get PSB Pads from directly), and it costed me $15 for shipping to Canada, and he Pads itself were free, since I actually have a pair of PSB M4U1's with warranty. Without warranty, it would have costed around $45 with shipping.

PSB support tried back and said that I can get the pads for no charge and that I just have to pay $15 for shipping :)

I contacted PSB Support and they told me to contact their parts department for pricing and availability. Maybe you can try to contact them get a pair too.

Well, my extra pair of PSB earpads that i used on my 99C's just started tearing... anyone know of an alternative that makes the 99C's sound like when they had the original, better sounding pads? Or where you can buy replacement pairs of PSB earpads?

Are the insides of your pads smooth, or wrinkly? Bansaku said earlier that if the insides are smooth, you have the old ones. If they are wrinkly, they're the bigger ones. I found this to be true.

Could someone please try listening to this song and say if the bass bleeds into the vocals in the first 15 seconds?
