there are as many IEMs out there is there are stars, perhaps it's better to save up and go even higher, since you have bassy/natrual/bright IEMs i'd say you got your bases covered might as well save up and buy something with cleaner more resolving sound. for me it's LS200 then straight up jump...

if you aren't going to be bothered by the tizzy/metallic lower treble they are actually pretty great for a closed back, even tho closed doesn't scale as well as open backs. i would also look up reviews about the ether CXs they're 900$ on massdrop.

IIRC it's tuned to the harman target, should be a safe choice really if they're your first IEMs they will do many things right and few things wrong at their price point.

i'do what @PurpleAngel suggested, if you can't find the 558s you can fix the ATH headphones by using a rubber band on the wings, or in my case tilting the headphones forward or backwords i have a small head and that works for me, i'm also using the ebay pads which don't effect the sound somehow.

check the Massdrop K7xx or K712pros they are one of the best headphones for overall usage, the 650 is better for music and vocals (deep warm mids with a narrower soundstage), the HD700 are sharp in the highs and some people seem to dislike it without tube/warm amps.

get a solder kit and do it, or just bring it to a shop that can solder properly 

yes, the K712 has a wider soundstage. but the 650 narrower soundstage makes the mids more intimate and more right next to your ear/ in your head feeling, the K712 is still good in the mids however for gaming and overall usage the K712 pro is one of the best headphones for its price
