A month or so ago, I heard that Mr Moffat was designing a usb driver for the Yggdrasil. Is this rumor true? Thanks

Question about Dither? I use a laptop running JRiver vs 23 into a Yggdrasil, Should I have the dither option checked on the JRiver software? Reading Mike's post mentioning the dither in the Yggy makes me wonder if I should leave the dither option unchecked. I listen to 90% 16/44 cd burns to the...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Be careful tightening with anything but your fingers. You can end up turning something inside your amp or speakers instead. If your spades keep loosening and falling off, it usually means they are not perfectly flat, I went back to banana's.

Who said the Yggy only had 12 bits? I thought they were discussing the Bimby. If someone said the Yggy had 12 bits of resolution, it would help if you would quote them in your reply, so we know what/who you are asking.

I remember reading somewhere that the glitch was fixed in the fall of 2016. I might be totally wrong though. Found it. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/what-a-long-strange-trip-its-been-robert-hunter.784471/page-335#post-13778331

Get the upgrade. I just upgraded from a Gumby to the Yggy. The Yggy is the sweetest most analog DAC that I have ever heard. I can't imagine how digital PCM could get any better. The Yggy with analog 2 is fantastic.

I would like to see you build the best class A amp that you are capable of, using high quality parts, in a simple package, like the Vidar. Similar to Moffat's Yggdrasil. What I mean by "similar to the Yggy, is that Mike built the best DAC that he is capable of. He succeeded. The Yggy is a...

I should have qualified, and said it is hard to find one at a fair price (under $1000) in good condition, that is not in a foreign country. I didn't know about Hifishark....Thanks

Day 3 of owning a Yggy. All I can say is "what a great sounding DAC!" It is an addictive listen. I have been a happy Gumby owner for a while, so I had a hard time deciding to upgrade to the Yggy. The analog 2 threw me over the edge, I am glad it did.

I wish I owned one. Almost impossible to find. When one does show up on e-bay, it is sold in a matter of minutes. A friend of mine owns one. It has that holographic single ended sound, that puts the band right in the room with you. It is very addictive to listen to.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

It has been my experience that a high quality 25 watt class A will sound better than a high wattage class A amp; unless the high wattage cost several thousand dollars. It has to do to the transformer wattage ratio. I would love to see Jason make a 25 watt class A amp that would be his signature...

What do use for your digital output to the Yggy; Asio, Wasapi, or Kernel Streaming? I use a Windows 10 laptop, and I think Kernel streaming sounds better. It is a close call between kernel and asio though. What does everyone else prefer?

I'll be joining the Yggdrasil owners club in a couple of hours. My Yggy is scheduled to deliver today. I own a Gumby and a Bifrost Multibit, so I am aware of the treat that my ears are in for. Let the burn-in begin.

Did The Absolute Sound review the Yggdrasil with the original analog circuit or the analog 2 circuit?

New products that I would buy 1) A power conditioner for under $1000; that works to clean up the Schitty electrical supply I have. I can tell a major difference in sound quality late at night or very early in the morning. It is much better at those hours. 2) A good turntable under $1000. 3) A...
