I've been using Hearos "ultimate softness series" earplugs to protect my ears during very loud band practices, but I have the feeling they aren't giving me a lot of protection against lower frequencies. They are 32dB isolating. I'm looking for some ear muffs that give around 30dB of protection...

I listen to a lot of rock and I'm quite happy with my SR225s. I find the bass to be adequately loud on most recordings even without an external amp. If you do end up buying a pair keep in mind that the bass improves as they are burned in.

I got appendicitis and by the time I got to the hospital it'd been ruptured for at least 24 hours. I'll refrain from going into gory details but I had to have an additional surgery and the next week was extremely miserable and painful.

I like Giant Robot despite the bad mix. Big Sur Moon off of Colma is fun to listen to with cans.
