Not familiar with a usbridge. What is it doing.. ?? And does it power the xdsd?

The xdsd ir really.. and i mean really really noisy when connected and charging ( or not charging)on any standard mains usb. Its pretty much unuseable due to mains noise. Using a usb battery pack instead helps immensely and all hum dissapears, i would think that ifi's own filtered 5v usb...

i believe ive found it.. a fiio balanced cable is wired as below so the adapter above should work on the ifi xdsd in balanced mode.

please forgive my ignorance but im a little unsure of balanced cable configs. im trying to use the 3.5mm balanced out on my ifi xdsd which i think is L+ R+ L- R- the iem's are fiio fh5 with the balanced cable 2.5mm plug. my main issue is the adapter to go to 3.5mm balanced and its pin...

Do fiio do a 3.5mm balanced cable in the uk ? for fh5 I have a 2.5mm balanced on order from fiios shop on amazon (for my pioneer xdp300r) but i also have an ifiifi xdsd which has its balanced on a 3.5mm socket.

Removing filters , certainly not foam on the retail model in uk. Is this a night and day change ??

or... sugru.. no tape or glues needed, roll into a very thin sausage ( using a ruler) and cut a piece near enough the circumference.. poke it in with anything small.. easy. even i did a good job and im a complete bodge artist...

as to my above post.. yes this does seem correct when you use UAPP to play your tidal stuff.. as long as the album/track/artist you have in your favourites is the masters version then the file plays at the higher resolution.. in my case i tried it with the Eagles masters.. i favourited it then...

tidal mqa on pioneer xdp300 I have found if you use your pc to "favourite" the masters album, then access that favourite via your tidal app on the pioneer, then you are playing the mqa wrapped version ( not fully decoded). but as for downloading from a pc.. then its a mystery. Hopefully Swesko...

mac should see the 300. however the android transfer program is complete pain in the ass and after a certain amount of files you cant drop new ones into the free space in the window.. so tbh just put the micro sd card into the machine its far easier

it only has a stereo socket..not a 4 pole trrs socket.. as its a media player and doesnt have any phone built in.. theres no need for a 4 pole socket.. plus pioneer would have been laughed at if they put in a 4 pole socket as its not deemed to be "audiophile" .
