Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
Wasn't happy at all with the bundled tips, but Spiral Dots seem to cut it (despite inner diameter being larger than stock tips, they fit perfectly).- youurayy

Guess I'll wait for the final [2020?], I don't feel half as adventurous as you just described. The device has a card reader, why don't they make the upgrade procedure thru there and rule Windows completely out.- youurayy

That you for your effort, iFi people. A few questions: ^ does this mean that in the TiDAL desktop app, we select all 3 options: "Use Exclusive Mode", "Force volume" and "Passthrough MQA" ? ^ seems like quite a struggle, are you talking about the space in the FPGA or some other memory? Just...- youurayy

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
I would say the EAM-t's sounds more natural (but also more distant), needs way more power, and its wearing comfort is horrible (due to the size and weight of the armatures), Xelento has a true sub-bass, so all things considered the Xelento is a better headphone. Boom.- youurayy

Audio-gd R2R 11
I'd say that's a valid logical reasoning. If I google 'r2r11', the third link is a negative measurements link (with a dead Imgur presentation), and its sublink is another reddit link that links to the aforementioned (newly released) measurements. So how do you smear a popular audio product that...- youurayy

Audio-gd R2R 11
Let me put it this way -- I have about 30 of my top favorite tracks in TIDAL -- and you know, as the novelty wears off, it's down to the real interestingness or quality of the track, whether I still consider it favorite. Now, with any other DAC than the R2R11, I will be skipping tracks in this...- youurayy

Audio-gd R2R 11
I don't see how R2R11 hides any details, with a good heaphone anyway. It's much worse when a device artificially amplifies details at the cost of damaging the overall feel of the scene. The cheapest delta sigma chip setup today will render all the details, but the scene image and dynamics will...- youurayy

Audio-gd R2R 11
Wow, this is amazing. Considering his unit wasn't faulty, this goes to show that measurements and precision mean absolutely nothing. I have a very high-end Pro iDSD sitting right under the R2R11 (on top is NFB 11.38, also a killer sound), and the R2R11 gets the most playtime, and it would be...- youurayy

Focal Utopia General Discussion
I also drive them from Pro iDSD, used to use bass boost, quite loud during movies etc., never any artefacts, I'd think you have a fault. p.s. for music they aren't strictly better than my PMx2 planars ($1.5k), Utopia the dynamics is somewhat overblown, but nice on Jazz etc.- youurayy

What headphones do you run? The PMx2 I have is planar-magnetic, so very fast, and very neutral tune = means great real bass. (I have to try R2R with my Utopias just bored to pull the balanced cable out of them.) That's a big part of it. Also I suspect burn-in, in this case an actual hardware...- youurayy
