Best noise canceling headphones.
Yes I have thought of iems but it might be uncomfortable to have for many hours. I might as you said look for used Bose, I don't mind their sound, and ANC is the most important aspect of them.- Gurra1980

Best noise canceling headphones.
I have a problem, they are building new apartments in our house, with drills and a lot of other really annoying sounds all day long. Unfortunately my vacation starts now and I'm not so happy because I have to live in this sick noise! So I bought a pair of sony wh-h900n, unfortunately they suck...- Gurra1980

Nad M51 Measurements.
Hi Nad M51 users! I have just bought the nad M51 for a discount price, tested it a couple of hours with different amps to my speakers and thought it sounded really good, but I have limited experience with DACs and especially speakers. So I was surfing around confirming my buy on various...- Gurra1980

Nad M51 Measurements.
Stereophile at least did a lot off measurements and came to the conclusion that it measures great. I have been in to headphones for many years and have landed in the conclusions that equipment that measures the same does not need to sound the same, I think if you were only to measure and not...- Gurra1980

Denon 2000s poor build quality.
The buildquality of the denon d2000 is very good except for the screw issue. they just forgot to use some kind of locktight. there are many threads about this, do a search for d2000 screw issue.- Gurra1980

Did you know that if a burnt-in cable was unused for, like, month, it burns-out and must be re-burned-in?
The main cables and the cables in the house are 90% of the soundquality, to get the best sound out of them you need to cool them down below 0°C and keep theme there (I usually don't listen to music at summertime but when it's winter I put a big jacket on me and turn of the heating in the house)... -
Does frequency response really matter?
The frequency responce kurve show you the frequency response, it's pretty easy. If it's properly meassured you can tell if a headphone has more or less treble, bass or midrange (in most cases) I think headrooms meassurements are pretty accurate. But it want tell you how big the soundstage is...- Gurra1980

Denon 5000: Can I expect anymore improvement?
Most ampes are made with high ohms headphones like Hd6xx as reference, so they will give a balanced sound with 300ohms senns. Most portable players are made for low ohm 32 and lower, Dx000 with 25ohms is very easy to drive for such a player and I guess thats the reason they sound better with...- Gurra1980

Has anyone heard Sony Pfr-v1?
Thanks! I did a search but I couldn't find anything, I must say that the searchfunction is really crap, I just can't understand how it can be that bad. Even the advanced.- Gurra1980

Has anyone heard Sony Pfr-v1?
This looks like an interesting pair of "headphones" (Personal Field Speakers), if they work well I guess I would think about trying a pair. Has anyone here heard them, I have not seen any threads about them. Here is a review I found: Sony PFR-V1 Personal Field Speaker Headphones - TrustedReviews...- Gurra1980

Comparison, HD-650 and D2000.
I guess the HD650 gets a lot better with good equipment but I have not heard very much difference with better gear my self when listening in HIFI-shops. I hear the difference more clear with my D2000, I guess it's all about that infamous now I'm saying it, veil the D2000 does not have any veil...- Gurra1980
