I think so yes. Mine completely fell apart with a few hours use. Fairly easy to put back together with a dollop of superglue though.

The R1 is a lovely sounding IEM. No harshness in any of the frequencies. I spent a lot of time A/Bing with my previous favourite TA Hunter and the improvement in the R1 is just amazing. As for filters I have to admit that the black does seem to generate the most smiles. Also my eyes must be weak...

I own all 3 of these and I would happily say the Meridian is the best, followed by the Cyrus and lastly the DF. One point to mention though is that my iPhone doesn't have enough power to drive the Meridian so this is only for laptop use. MQA is definitely nice but for me there is not enough...

I'm not sure you would find much comparable IEMs near the £75 pre-order price. This would get you something quite entry level and basic from other manufacturers. Shure do a low end SE215 for around £90, or maybe you could try the SoundMagic E80C at about £80. These are not going to be anywhere...

As somewho owns all the trinity IEMs I must say the Hunter is something that stands on its own as a TOTL IEM. It is a beautiful thing to listen to. I am not aware of anyone who has heard it not to be gobsmacked. The rest of the range has some small flaw or compromise yet the Hunter in my opinion...

I don't think the PM4 used a standard 2 pin. It was a Trinity specific cable. To fix your issue though, you should get a pen or flat screwdriver and separate the pins on the cable. This fixed the issue for me.

Save yourself the hassle of sending them back. The tiniest drop of super glue should sort this out.

I also am not usually convinced by burn in time, but it seems that this dual coil titanium driver needs a bit of time to loosen up. Both the PM6 and Hunter have improved by some extended usage.

Reading the Icarus II specification I see no mention of a screen. How do you suppose we will be able to select tracks from our 264gb library?

For me they sound very neutral with a very detailed reference sound. They are a big step up from the Master with a more refined transparent sound. Once you get the right filter for your ears (for me it was the silver damped) no single frequency stands out from the rest. The fit is excellent...

As far as I know, the Icarus III have not shipped yet. This is most likely the reason why no reviews have come in yet. Give it another few weeks and I am sure some people will be in a position to post their comparisons.

I am pretty sure the form factor changed to the same as the Master quite some time ago. The only difference now is the upgraded internals.
