    Best type of solder for audio quality

    I've been using either Cardas Quad or Kester 60/40 for quite a while. Both flow nice and smooth even though Cardas does need a little more heat but it's not a big deal.

    Looking for Speaker Switch with RCA jacks ...

    Looking for a "speaker switch" with RCA jacks for 2 to 4 set of speakers. All I have seen are switches but for wire and no RCA jacks. Some are just ridiculously expensive as well.

    [ Active Speakers ] ---> Best Under ~$250?

    I must say that for the budget minded and searching for "best bang for the buck" you can't go wrong with Cyber Acoustics CA-3602 30 watts powered 2.1 system. The sound & built quality is actually very good and it will surprise many considering it's $39.95 price. NO, it's not a misprint... $39.95...

    What computer speakers to get?

    I would guess that your budget should be $250 to $300 (the Swans are $300) and at that price range there are quite a few excellent systems available. What if you can save lets say $250 and get a 2.1 system for less than $50 and still have a decent system? Have you heard of the Cyber Acoustic...

    Topping NX2 Portable DAC/Amp Impressions Thread

    Hi...   This might not be related to the Topping NX2 but it just might be useful to many of you guys. Its about the FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier. It's not portable but if your looking for your desktop a really good and under $80 DAC/AMP I would suggest this one. Of course it's not...

    What computer speakers to get?

    Yes... they are surprisingly very good for the money. The only negative, if you can call it that, is that the volume won't be "screamingly high" but for desktop speakers they will fit the job.  If you are looking for "high end" desktop speakers I would suggest Audioengine A-5 powered speakers...

    What computer speakers to get?

    Yeah.... cheap. But that doesn't mean that the Cyber Acoustic sound is any ware near cheap. I've got these speakers and they sound better than some systems costing 3 & 4 times their price. I don't now if you have ever experienced listening to the CA's BUT IMHO, they are actually very good and...

    Topping NX2 Portable DAC/Amp Impressions Thread

    That's a good question. If the seller doesn't give you a solution or maybe a partial money back agreement, you should try the manufacture and see if it can be reaired. Can't think of any other solution.... good luck.

    Which is the best buy???... SMSL SD793-II PCM1793 DIR9001 DAC or HiFimeDIY Sabre USB DAC 2

    I'm buying my first DAC and would like to have some feedback on which of these 2 would be my best choice. Both are less than $100 and they were recommended by friends that have them. I just want to be certain that I will get the best performance for my money from a reliable source.   1)...

    Hello...   WOW, that was a fast reply... I see what you mean. The hifimediy will provide me with all I need for a reasonable price. Certainly the $350 is a bit out of the question at this moment and, like you say, after some time I can always upgrade and just sell the DAC and amp. BTW, I have...
