Still having fun with the Tomahawk. Dug it out recently as I haven't really been listening to much via headphones, and teamed it up with my Grado SR60.   Can't believe it's over five years since I bought this amp!....  

Came back to find an amp smaller than my Tomahawk.....

More than happy with my Tomahawk driving my E500's....... Does quite a good job on the Grado SR60 too.

I listened to these at MacWorld and I found them very close in sound to the E500 - a friend felt they were more bassy than the E500. They didn't have the final finish on them but if they price them below the E500 then they could be a good option.

I went for the Westone UM56 tips for my E500s. I took the chance to see if they were as good (and as comfortable) as the foam tips which I prefer to use. I now use the custom tips all the time. As for sound? Well I rate them as being equal to the foam tips. So unless you wish to spend the money...

Be prepared to pay customs charges on it. I got stung for my Tomahawk as have many UK members. The postie will stand on your doorstep and inform you they can't hand over the parcel until you hand over the cash.....

I got these and they are far better than the yellow foamies. But as I have UM56 tips I'll keep them for emergencies.
