Hey there, looking to sell this Bottlehead Crack with Speedball. I believe it has an upgraded volume pot, the rest should be stock. I bought it here in december 2017. Since I dont have a headphone anymore which it can drive, I think it would be in better hands where it can be used! Technically...- Niggi183

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Those of you who use Sonarworks with this headphone what are your settings? I find 100% dry/wet to take too much life out of the headphones so right now I am using 50% and +6db in bass. (which is the amout of bass like 100% but with more treble).- Niggi183

Were my expectations too high? Fidelio X2 not that great with weak bass
Mhh I think that deep subbass extension can only really be achieved by the most potent dynamic drivers or you should go planar magnetic. And for that basshead rumble closed is also better than open. Something like the fostex th-x00 should tick those things. The X2, for what it is (a relative...- Niggi183

People really say this? Bass aside, the treble is like soo far away from being neutral.- Niggi183

Chi-fi IEMs with rolled off treble
Looking for some (cheap) Chi-fi IEMs with a warm sound signature. I already got the KZ ES3 today but they a bit too hot in the highs for my taste. Any recommendations?- Niggi183

AMP for HD650 to connect to my RME audio card around $300 US?
Maybe save another 100 or look used for valhalla 2 or jotunheim. They are quite bright so it will lift the "veil". I only own the Valhalla 2 and it makes the hd 650 more spacious. From reading I think the Jotunheim sacrifices some of that space but has more low end and is a bit more "aggresive"...- Niggi183

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Got these yesterday as a "fun" side can to my hd 650 for the occasionally ps4 gaming since they hook up easily to the headphone out of the controller. And I have to say they feel really premium in terms of build quality, in fact I can't belive I only paid 145 euro for these (new). In comparison...- Niggi183

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Thanks for the impressions :). On the Valhalla 2 side of things your impressions are just like mine. I rolled some jj e88cc, which made the upper mids and highs more enjoyable for me and made it sound a little bit lusher (more "tube-like"). All in all the soundstage improvement and seperation is...- Niggi183

Going from Vali 2 to Valhalla 2 worth it? Since I decided to keep my HD 650s as main drivers for quite some time now, is going to OTL make much of a difference?- Niggi183

Vali 2 tube rolling
Recently got a tesla e88cc gold pin and in comparison to the stock tube, the bass (especially the subbass) seems to have improved quite significant. Wish I could A/B them properly, but for now I'm happy. :)- Niggi183

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Isn't the general assumption that amp > dac in terms of audible differences? And since both aren't that "high-end" I thought an amp upgrade would do a bigger difference. Genre is a though one since I listen to about everything (that's where the HD 650 shines imo, it can play everything while...- Niggi183

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
What are some headphones worth checking out, which have a similar sound signature as the hd 650? Or would an amp upgrade (Modi 2 into Vali 2 currently) make a noticeable difference right now? What im looking for in new cans is maybe a little wider soundstage and overall better resolution(If...- Niggi183

Amp for the Beyerdynamic DT-990 250ohm
Hey thanks for your reply! Yes. So which exactly port do you mean? I know it has 2 3,5mm out on one I have my headphones and on the other I have some speakers and I can switch between them in the driver. Are they like differently treated? I honestly don't...- Niggi183

Amp for the Beyerdynamic DT-990 250ohm
Hey guys, just got my 990s yesterday and they really sound amazing, really a step-up from my qpad qh-90s. Atm i'm powering them with my creative soundblaster z soundcard and it powers them louder than my ears could handle so that's not a problem. But im just curious if an amp would do...- Niggi183
