I also agree mic gain makes more sense. The feature would otherwise be redundant on non xbox platforms. Whereas right now it is a feature for everyone.- jameswalker

Not promising for the whooshing then, that would deserve its own line.- jameswalker

I tried but my mic wouldn't pick it up. It needs a sealed surface with the mic in it within the earcup for it to be detected over ambiance, I think.- jameswalker

I built up a new PC over the weekend. Here are my findings: On the new motherboard, if I use a USB 3.0 slot, I actually hear some of the interference issues that others have reported which I NEVER heard on my old PC. If I use a USB 2.0 slot, I get no interference. Whooshing in left cup...- jameswalker

I don't think that is correct. I mean, for the first 10 minutes after powering them on, there is no whooshing. Then it is present for the rest of the day.- jameswalker

Plenty of us on here have complained about the whooshing still present on the left earcup. A reminder that the previous version of firmware had this issue present on both earcups. So it somehow got 50% fixed? I hope new feature requests do not get implemented ahead of fixing existing problems.- jameswalker

Almost exactly the same experience I have too. The whoosh stops if you disconnect the USB transmitter while the headset is still powered on. But obviously you get no audio at all at that point!- jameswalker

I find it hard to believe that it cannot be fixed. in software, given often on my first powerup of the day, the issue is not present for the first 10 mins. I can be listening away, then silence. Then suddenly it just kicks on, between 5 and 10 mins. Then it is there all day. Furthermore, they...- jameswalker

This may or may not help Audeze in their efforts to fix the noise in the left earcup but here is an observation: After a night with the PC off... turn the PC on in the morning, for the first 10 mins or so there is no noise in the left earcup for me whatsoever. Repeatable across multiple days.- jameswalker

Glad to hear others with the left earcup sound are chiming in. And I agree it sounds like a software filtering issue as they managed to remove it from the right earcup a couple of patches ago!!!- jameswalker
