I have AirPods 1 and 2 and in side by side tests I get a substantial increase in distance away from the source with AirPods 2. I included bt5 in the wish list not for superior sound quality.

On my iPhone XS Max I'm using Roon for MQA playback and it works perfectly, as does DSD.

Agreed, that's been the best 'bang for buck' change I've made.

There is a known issue on the USB-C iPads. Any connected DAC shows as a connected headphone rather than a USB Device. (see roon forum for photos). This means playback is being limited. Also DSD and MQA fails. DSD plays, but with severe white noise in the background. I found out the hard way...

Yes, but DSD and MQA isn't working, and it displays it as a headphone rather then a USB Device. Mulitple threads on roon forum about it.

Thanks for confirming! I'm not in the USA, so had to import this which cost abit in taxes and fee's. Amazon global delivery was very impressive though. Never tried balanced before I was sceptical to be honest... I could tell the difference immediately, cheapest bang for buck upgrade I've ever...

Did this work? I have Sennheiser 660s which came with a balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn cable. Can anyone suggest a tried and tested 4.4 female to 3.5 male, so I can use the xDSD balanced? Thanks

Nightmare with this cable. Sounded not right straight away, and left and right channels were mismatched. Shame, was looking forward to trying balanced. Oh well.

For anyone wondering it does not support MQA decode or even render (dragonfly and xdsd support render)

USB C & Bass Boost (guilty pleasure) are reasons I picked this up over the Nano. Ipad Pro USB C direct to USB C on the K3, no mucking around with adaptors.

Best way I found for more bass was to find the tips that really sealed into my ears. Took a while of trying. But in the end I gave up and bought the overears, and just decided to look a twit instead!
