Ok guys, I've spoke to someone from Astell&Kern in Facebook. It seems like they have no plans on updating the FW for the AK Jr. Here's the screen shot of our conversation. I'm really disappointed in them. Seriously, how can they come up with something like that.

Well then, for those who want a true line-out, I guess AK is out of the equation.

Astell&Kern tells why they do not have line-out port. Dunno if this applies to the AK Jr.  

Of cos you need to have good recordings as well. Combined with good headphones/IEMs, DAP and/or DAC/AMP, the outcome will be different. I think its all in the preferences of an individual. If you like it, you'll like it, if you don't, you don't.   That being said, this hobby is the ultimate...

I see.. Yup, you're right. IMHO, go for the Cayin C5. I think its a good combination.

I use the OPPO HA-2 on my Jr. Sounds fantastic. Maybe you should go to your local friendly store to get the amps tested out. All depends on your preference.   Cheers!

I don't own the Creative E5 but I do have the OPPO HA-2. It does give a boost to the AK Jr. I think you shouldn't have any problems with this pairing.      Cheers!

Glad you're enjoying. Hmmm... the long pause and not playing after it happens to me intermently. Sometimes it plays and sometimes it doesn't. I think you'll have to wait for them to fix this with the new FW.   Meanwhile, just enjoy the music and SQ while waiting.   Cheers!

I see. I can't help you on the AIFF format part as I am on ALAC, which has no problem with album art. On the other hand, I convert all FLAC to ALAC so that I can put them into my iTunes. I haven't try the playlist yet as I just shuffle all my songs but i do get repeated songs while doing that...

Care to share what issues are you having with the UI? 

I think the word is "get use to" the sound signature. It becomes a norm and it settles on you. Changing to another device after listening your current one will have an effect on you.   Cheers!
