Looking further at that gizmo I posted, I'm not thrilled about all the phones being active at once. I wonder what kind of impedance his amp will see! I would probably find a device with a selector so only one phone was active at a time...- TheEnthusiast

I read up on your sound card (which I should have done from the get go) and it seems like its a quite capable dac/amp for headphones. If you do put some kind of switch, you definitely want to get or make a passive one.- TheEnthusiast

Adding a switch to the chain is gonna degrade the signal no matter what switch you get. You're better off getting a desktop dac/amp or better yet, separates dac and amp. It will be easier to plug in different headphones by not reaching behind your computer. You'll avoid degrading the signal with...- TheEnthusiast

Build a CD Ripping PC
I recommend two CD/DVD drives for ripping. Not so much for speed, but for validating the results of an iffy rip. They should be different make/model as well. As far as hdd's, you definitely want a redundant raid setup. What software are you gonna use for ripping your collection? I use dbpoweramp...- TheEnthusiast

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
I've read quite a bit of this thread and haven't seen anyone recommend the Deckard. Is Audeze's own amp no good for driving the LCD-2's? Or is it just garbage in general?- TheEnthusiast

New Member Introductions thread
Hello All. Just getting into the high end headphone game, but no stranger to high end hifi. Been in the hifi game for 25 years now. My interest in headphones is late night listening and drowning out the wife's nagging. I'm about to pull the trigger on a pair of LCD-2's and will be shopping...- TheEnthusiast
