sorry to resurrect this old thread, but much has happened with the jimmy page remasters   the better the source and the sharper the gear, the more you can hear it... recording gear at its limits trying to capture jimmy with his amp gained up to the max...   I have the HD Audio rips that...

Is it just my imagination or can different batteries in a cmoy amp change the sound...   I'd been using some low mha rechargeables and decided to buy some higher mha ones and I reckon with the new ones in the amp doesn't sound as good...   What qualities should a battery have for a cmoy or...

OK, been having a Floyd and old skool music renaissance lately and loved the audio track of the Pulse DVDs compared to the versions of the songs on the CD. Perhaps only due to the familiarity of the DVD as I watched it so much, including my car's DVD...   So I FLAC the DVD and listen to it...

My e7 couldn't drive my HD590s at all and sounded flat... I think anything would be an upgrade from an e7...

My bass boosted cmoy from fred_fred_2004 is simply perfection... You wouldn't go wrong with one of them...

I'm all for the CMoy from fred_fred_2004 on ebay... I'm using the bass boost model with the 2227 and it sounds the business...   But depending on the IEMs you buy you could be wasting your money...   I have the Audio-Technica CKS77 IEMs and they are incredibly powerful and bassy without...

Do the typical head-fi thing! Buy both and do a comparo...   It's not like they're super expensive...

I have a version of the CMoyBB made in Australia that I believe is audio nirvana...   It is very powerful and is switchable for bass boost...   I have 120ohm Sennheisers and the volume knob is never around more than 20-25%...   Battery lasts ages and I have rechargeable 9v...

cmoy is your friend...   get the cmoybb if you can...   the lower powered fiios struggle to produce authoritive sound... They sound strained...   to drive the m-50s get a cmoy...  ...

If it is a power issue the popping sound is clipping... I'd be trying other phones to see if its across the board...

I was very unimpressed with the e7... Not much power, sound is flat and strained, the dac component sounds ok, but no star...

So recently I decided not to retire my Sennheiser HD590s but buy new earpads and an appropriate portable amp as my HTC HD7 has enough audio quality for portable purposes but not enough ooomph for 120ohm...   So I get a fiio e7 and a CMoy with bass boost... The senns have always been a little...

I recently bought a cmoy with bass boost... Very nice sound but the headphone connection and input connection crackled and echoed when I wiggled the cords...   Was OK on my desk, but horrible when in my pocket...   Sent it back for him to put new connectors on...
