Can someone tell me if the new DC plugs are the same size as the old ones? Was planning to get a V-PSU MK2 but not sure if the sizes were compatible.

With the Rega RP1 on it's way maybe you can see if you can find a new Rega P1 from you local dealer.

Just wondering in regards to the photo above, if the two units do the same thing and jitter measurements are the same (for example sake), then why is it that one unit requires so much more components and gadgetry than the other? Is there any point in having the excessive bits and pieces?  ...

Musical Fidelity V-LPS could be an inexpensive yet worthy phono..

My earpads have started turning yellow even though I don't use them that much. Might also be because there was a wee while when I didn't realise at certain times of the day they were exposed to direct sunlight.   Expensive to replace though.. i think around $40 each :(

The Dynavector P75 and the Musical Fidelity V-Dac also seems to be quite highly regarded.

What about the new Musical Fidelity M1? We don't have a distributor/dealer for MF in new Zealand but asked Len Wallis Audio in Sydney and a rep said they're expecting units at the end of the month at $799AUD.

You can maybe try the Westone UM2? I move from the SF5pro and found it a significant upgrade though I haven't heard the UE5 Pros but if they are anything similar to SF5 Pro then I'd say give it a go.

I have both and if I had to chose one I'd go for the ES7's. The sound quality is distinctly a bit better.. and the mids aren't recessed as they are on the SQ5's.

It's sad to say I've parted with my PX100's. My girlfriend has claimed them as her own.. No doubt I'll be getting another pair though

Out of the few I have, I'd choose the PX100's and the ES-7's.
