Recommend budget IEM with these notes (<$30)

Hi all, Looking for a budget IEM (open to chinese brands) to meet this criteria: - Under $30 (ideally under $20) - Sound signature: slight V (bass should have a good oomph, but I don't want bass or highs to overwhelm everything) - Must have a microphone - Cable shouldn't drive me crazy with...

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

Can anyone recommend a good IEM that meets this criteria?   1.  Under $25 2.  Has a mild V shape 3.  Won't break in a week 4.  Cable doesn't have awful microphonics. 5.  Has a microphone   I basically don't want super boomy bass or shrieking highs, but do want them to be a little bit of...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Any suggestion for an IEM with really good mids and < $50?   I was seeking some that have a more mild V (have the soundmagic E10 and steelseries flux).  They have enough bass/highs for me, but are still a bit lacking in the mids for my preference.

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

What should I try next?   Meelectronics M9P - Enjoyed how fun they sounded (V-shaped), but mids were very lacking Vsonic GR02 - hated these.  Way too harsh all around - treble was piercing and bass overwhelmed everything SoundMagic E10 - incredibly boring to me.  Sound kind of neutral and...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Anyone care to recommend another IEM in the < $40 range that has just a small bit of of a V curve but not over the top?   Basically something like the M9's with more mids.  Way less bass than the Vsonic GR02's.   I just received the SoundMAGIC E10's, but they aren't quite what I'm looking...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Do you think if I used the Meelectronics flange tips on the E10 I would achieve good isolation?   Also, thoughts on the E10 vs. the Brainwavz M1?

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

I'm worried that the tips on the FX40's won't seal in my ears enough since they appear to just be a single small tip.  Would I be able to use the M9's dual flange tips on them?

    IEM's under $40 with only a slight "v shape" / mostly neutral

What do people like for their favorite IEM < $40 that meet this criteria?   1.  Mids that aren't too subdued   2.  Punchy bass but not overwhelming (The VSonic GR02's were WAYYYY too bassy for me) 3.  Want good isolation.  (The M9 dual flange tips were great).   Of the JVC Marshmallows...

    E7 + E9 Inconsistently crackling in Windows 7

Hey all,   Just wanted to say that I was having terrible distortion problems with the Fiio E7, and figured out the solution:   When playing back in VLC, you need to leave the volume slider in the middle.  "100% volume" is actually in the middle of the slider, anything past that and...

    Brainwavz R1 Review

Can anyone tell me if they think I'd like the R1's given the following:   JVC Marshmallows:  I think sound ok for the money, are lacking a bit of bass and clarity Meelectronic M9's:  I liked how crisp these sounded, but wish the mids were more present and highs were slightly less harsh...

why mainstream use stock iphone, samsung, htc ect earphones

I'm 32 now.   When I was younger, I was always really concerned about having the best gear.   As I've grown older, I've really learned to stop getting attached to so much stuff and just enjoy life.  I'll still research the equipment I buy, but I stop paying money as soon as the return on...

Recommend me earbuds based on the following:

Hi all,   I've tried the following earbuds, but am looking for something new:   JVC Marshmallows:  Pretty damn good for $6 earbuds, but they aren't super clear and are lacking in highs.  Mids and bass are just OK. Meelectronic M9's:  I like how punchy they are, but find they are a bit...

    Brainwavz R1 Review

Has anyone here listened to both the R1's and the Vsonic GR-02 Bass Edition's?   The GR-02's I received a couple weeks ago are a bit too bass heavy for my liking.  Just kind of overpowers the mids.   Oddly some songs sound great, but others are really muddy.  I think it has to do with...

Repairing IEM's - how to strip very fine gauge wire?

Hi all,   The 3.5mm jack/strain relief on my Meelectronics M9 broke, so I was planning on just splicing in a new one from an old pair of headphones.   However, after cutting into the cord, I found the + and - wires to be VERY thin.  I don't know what gauge wire it is, but it's probably...

    Brainwavz R1 Review

One thing really holding me back is the styling.  I can't stand the aggressive red/black combo.  Hmm.. I wonder if that outer red would rub off.
