I actually liked it with the "Club" setting.. Studio sounds tad bit congested. However, my collection consists of so many types of songs that while some sound good, others don't :( that's the reason I'm avoiding enhancements. Well, as always, YMMV

I'm currently avoiding those digital enhancements as most songs sounded digital to me. I instead use EQ to achieve my preferred signature :) The VPT(Surround) sounded promising. What's everyone's opinion on this ?

Got mine recently. :) Currently pairing with my Fidelio X2s. Here are my impressions after several hours : Dynamic impact is great. Soundstage is better than my old ipod touch. Slight warm tilt makes it sound thicker with slight absence of air. Functionality wise, very easy to use...

Mine has peeling too but its not so obvious that it'll force me to return it. I just love the sound soooo much ! ^_^

Oh ! And about aesthetics... These are huge ! But at the same time extremely comfy ! :D

So I've been listening to them for several hours & I must admit that it needs some getting used to... However, now I've understood that recording quality matters. Average pop recordings sound quite similar in my modded iBuds but rock, metal & celtic sounds awesome ! :L3000: Another matter...

Haven't heard of the Denons but to my ears, the x2's treble sounds really smooth & it also has great bass presence... this is coming from a 19 yo boy who loves pop,rock & metal :basshead:

Impressions Update : So, as I've said before that I've recieved mine yesterday & this being the first time for me, I was quite in a confusion... Now I've slightly become accustomed to the signature & can confidently say that it does what it is meant to do : Lots of detail, no graininess, great...

Stock pads are pretty soft & comfortable. The fit is slightly flimsy though(small clamping force & the headband barely touches my head) but that's probably because I have a ridiculously small head ! -_-

That is what exactly matters... :) However, Philips still needs to look into their product IMO.
