Where are you storing your Tidal music? I've found that storing it in SD2 corrupts it. Try using the internal memory or SD1 for storage.- jiggyv

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
Hm, this seems very much like a workaround, but as you said, having the second SD slot is like a "make do" implementation in the first place, so I understand. Still better than having just one SD slot. Thanks for the tip, will try it out.- jiggyv

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
Yes, I am. Is this a known issue? And is there a fix? Unfortunately, I use SD1 to store my Tidal music because using SD2 for Tidal corrupts the downloads, so moving my FLACs to SD1 is not an option.- jiggyv

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
Same question @FiiO My Music App is extremely buggy right now. Even when I select Resume > Last Position, when I pause it for a few minutes and press play again, it plays a totally different file and starts playing the file at around the 50-second mark. This has been going for all of the FiiO...- jiggyv

Hmm, that’s odd. I’ll delete the app and try reinstalling it manually again, then. Worth a try.- jiggyv

When I use the Fiio Music app, its default setting is to play albums on "shuffle". I personally like to listen to albums in sequence the way the track listing is constructed. Is there a way I can set the default play mode to "normal" (the one with 2 parallel arrows) so I don't have to keep...- jiggyv

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
Had the DFB before, now have the DFR. They have very low noise floors even for sensitive IEMs, IMO. When I use sensitive IEMs with the DFR though, I use an iFi IEMatch so I can raise the volume to a comfy listening level before distortion kicks in.- jiggyv

Thanks. To clarify, I don't intend to get one just to use as a transport. I am looking for a DAP though that has that capability in case I want to use my other DAC/Amps. :D- jiggyv

Can the X7 Mark II be used as a transport? I have an ifi nano DAC/amp and would like to be able to use its DAC and just using the X7 as transport. If it’s possible, can this be done both for the stock player app AND for streaming apps such as Spotify and Tidal?- jiggyv

Sweet! I’m excited to know your impressions. :) I just had mine made by a local cable maker for $40 since 3.5mm balanced cables are quite hard to come by pre-made where I come from.- jiggyv

I too thought it was marketing mumbo jumbo at first, but I had a cable made following ifi’s balanced connection and it definitely made an improvement. Made my HD6XX’s dynamics improve, bass lost its boominess and tightened, instrument separation and placement has also improved as well.- jiggyv

Been using the nano on my office desktop for a few weeks now and it's an amazing little fella. Had a custom cable made for my HD6XX as well so I can try the balanced connection and there's definitely an improvement there.- jiggyv
