Good to know. A similar X1 is better than nothing. I dont need the exact same. I use a FiiO X5 and have a EQ on it but dont know which settings would be perfect to get a X1. Do you have any idea which frequency i must use to get the X1?

If i get a VE 6X2 can i change it with EQ to a X1? Or is it impossible? 

But it dosent change the fact, that much instruments dosent work with the ve 5. Its a musican inear for singers.

The VE5 is a special one not a allrounder like the VE6. I think if you hear much music genres with much Instruments on stage and you prefer a good voice the VE 6 X1 is the best for you. The VE 5 is very very special.

If you hear much music with voice and little bit instruments like an guitar - you will love it. But the VE5 is not there Flagship. Which music and artists do you prefer for? 

  If you hear When you were young from the killers from the beginning. You hear i think 2 e-guitars.They sounds very terrible on VE5. I think the Sound is too heavy for much (electro-)instruments. 

  How long you need to get the Monitors? :)   I think the VE 5 is a very good Custom for Musician and Voice, but terrible for much instruments on Stage.

The Sound is much forward.

  Yes it is... The voice has more character and the sound is more forward. But for me the bass is in few songs too much. The X2 has a very natural sounding..very smooth and light. The bass on the X1 destory a bit the Sounding.

Sounds great for the VE 5. Which Music do you hear and prefer for? I think a big Sound with  much instruments does not fit with the VE 5 like a DT 990. Only 2/3 Instruments and a big Voice forward works great with this.
