Recommendations for Wireless IEM's for small ears under $100?

My wife is looking to get a set of wireless ear buds for travel. She needed tubes in her ears when she was younger and as such has small ear canals. I've had several recommendations for Goggle Pixel Bud A's. Would this be a decent option or are there other alternatives?

Gaming headphones that can switch between sources?

Answering my own question in case someone else is looking into it. It looks like the Arctis Pro Wireless will support both Bluetooth for cellphones and wireless to the computer simultaneously. These appear to be using the same drivers as their Arctis Pro + GameDAC which is certified for Hi-Res...

Audeze Mobius vs SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

I'm looking to replace my outdated pair of HyperX Cloud Revolvers with a premium set of wireless headphones for gaming. I made a list of the features I considered to be important when trying to determine which cans to get. Requirements 1. Be wireless. 2. Support some form of surround sound...

Audiophile Ethernet Switches - any evidence of effect?

OMG, is this seriously a thing now? I thought I'd heard of every snake oil scam after I saw those myrtle wood blocks for your speaker wires that were supposed to "decouple" the wires from the "ground plane."

Gaming headphones that can switch between sources?

With COVID going on I've been allowed to work from home. This appears to have a high likelihood of becoming a permanent change thanks to my employer, which I wholeheartedly welcome. When I was in the office I had a Plantronics headset for phone calls, and a pair of Logitech H800's that I could...

Recommendation Needed for Daily Work Headphones And Gaming

What I really need is a headset that allows me to switch between either a wireless dongle and bluetooth, or switch between two bluetooth sources without having to re-pair it.

Recommendation Needed for Daily Work Headphones And Gaming

Until this point I have been using a set of HyperX Cloud Revolver headphones for my gaming needs, and a set of Logitech H800 Bluetooth wireless headphones for my office needs. My Cloud Revolvers have been pressed into service as my daily work headphones for conference calls and many on the...

    Another "Which Earbud" thread. <$50

I'm sure you're all probably sick of these threads but I'm genuinely at a loss and most of the sub $50 threads I've found are several years old. I've gone through two sets of NuForce NE-600X earbuds. The drivers always seem to fail on me and i'm not sure if that's due to ear moisture or just a...

How to Upgrade Your iRiver H320/H340 to Solid State

Sorry for the late reply. The holidays and what not. My experience echo's a lot of what you all have experienced as well. I initially formatted the SD card in windows the same way you all did then transferred the files while the SD card was still outside the iRiver. When I put the iRiver back...

How to Upgrade Your iRiver H320/H340 to Solid State

I'm still having this same problem as well. I don't really want to have to disassemble the entire player to pull the SD card just to add more songs. If you could post whatever you had to do to get it to work we'd all appreciate it.

    Replacement for Logitech H800s?

So I'm a cube junkie who spends large amounts of my day with headphones on. I don't have any peers in my building so there's really no reason not to. I've been using a pair of Logitech H800's for a couple years on the recommendation of a co-worker and honestly, they've been pretty great for my...

How to Upgrade Your iRiver H320/H340 to Solid State

First let me say I love the mod! I allowed me to vastly increase the storage space of my old iRiver 340. However, when I connect it to a PC to transfer files through the iRivers USB port it reads the SD Card volume incorrectly. I show a vastly larger volume size than is actually in the iRiver...

How to Upgrade Your iRiver H320/H340 to Solid State

I just completed this on my iRiver H340 along with a change over to a 2200mah battery. Working great! Thanks so much for figuring this all out and writing clear and accurate instructions!

How to Upgrade Your iRiver H320/H340 to Solid State

Wow! I thought I was the only guy who had one of these things! I'd been considering replacing the mechanical HD with a SSD for a while but because of the tiny form factor I considered it cost prohibitive.   Thanks for this excellent write up and sourcing the parts! I'm planning on ordering...

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)

Question. After reading the main post a second time I'm lead to believe that the Creative Labs Z card is technically inferior to my old X-Fi card? Is that true? I still have my X-Fi card around and could swap it out if there's an actual difference in quality between the two cards.

I ended up getting the Cloud Revolver. It's FANTASTIC. Extremely comfortable and great audio reproduction. Very happy with my purchase.

    Sub $150 Headset for Gaming?

As some backstory, I wear a pair of Logitech H800's daily at work. They're not the greatest sounding headphones ever made but they do a good job. I have the USB dongle hooked to my work laptop for training classes and VoIP calls, and the Bluetooth sync'd to my iPad for music throughout the day...

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)

I think I phrased this wrong, let me rephrase.    The headsets for PC gaming almost universally seem to include their own USB DSP/DAC. These boxes in turn have 3.5mm jacks on them that the headphones plug into. If I'm using a Creative Labs Z I don't think I'll need to use these DSP/DAC. I'm...

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)

So I've been looking into getting a set of gaming headphones as I really need a mic for the games I'm playing (MWO, BF4, Star Citizen). I've been looking at the Kingston HyperX Cloud, Cloud II, and Revolver headphones. The Cloud and the Cloud II are only differentiated by an inline USB DAC that...

    Sub $150 Headset for Gaming?

After about a year of working with 5.1 speakers being driven by a Creative Labs Z card I find I really need a mic to do multiplayer gaming the way I want. This leads me to just getting a headset rather than having a stand alone mic in the way of everything. I'm trying to keep my budget modest as...

New to Upscale Headphones - PC Gamer - Need Advice/Help

Ok gang, it's been a while. Other projects had me shelve the new headphones until now. I'm to the point where doing multiplayer gaming just won't work without a mic anymore so this brings me back to the headphone debate. I'm still running the Creative Labs Z series card in my machine and it's...

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)

Gang, I thought I'd take a moment to report in with my findings now that I have the Sound Blaster Z installed in my rig. I'm 5 days into the new sound card, and it has it's pro's and con's. Sound is definitely more positional and "expansive" over the onboard Realtek ALC1150, even with the...

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)

There's a lot of information here and I regret I won't have time to churn through all 200+ pages of it. I'm sure this question has been asked at length so please forgive me.     Reading the Page One guide on this Nameless states the EMU20K2/1 chip from the X-Fi series are superior to the...

New to Upscale Headphones - PC Gamer - Need Advice/Help

No stoning going to happen here. This was pretty much an impulse purchase for me. I'm hoping I can get better performance out of my 5.1 speakers than I do with the onboard sound.    Love MonoPrice. I have a ton of their cables at home. I also hear good things about their headphones.

New to Upscale Headphones - PC Gamer - Need Advice/Help

I misspoke. It's the Sound Blaster Z, without the extra module. My plan was to run a high grade cable between the headphone output on the sound card and my desk for when I'm using it. My G500's also have a line out for a headphone but that's to many connections in the loop for my tastes.
