In that case you should be good to go with it. In terms of build quality, it's remarkably well put together. I don't think it'll survive getting smashed onto concrete but it feels great, and it's taken quite a beating from me. It sits in your hand nicely and the material choices are well...- benoliver999

Possibly. I use two 400GB cards and it works fine. The UI is simple but works great. I am a simple man who mainly plays albums. Perhaps you might want more. I have no complaints at all with regards to sound quality. Caveats: - I don't even know if it does lyrics - No wifi at all- benoliver999

Has anyone managed to get 1_00_04 actually installed on their device? I just keep getting 'unfortunately, settings has stopped'. Could just be MTP playing up.- benoliver999

I mistakenly nixed the torrent file in the OP when I redesigned my site... apologies! I will happily make another BUT I think @Wiljen 's link is probably a better solution to have in the first post: http://rronline.org/opus/ @peter123 what do you think?- benoliver999

Ooh that's interesting! I assume it shows up in folder view? I'm gonna have to see if I have some with leading periods. That's probably worth emailing them about.- benoliver999

Looks like version 1.00.03 has been released. I got the usual slow speeds and timeouts, but the final 25% came down pretty quick. If you are having issues I have uploaded it here: https://transfer.sh/MjRN2/Opus1S_ver1_03.zip The changes are: 1. Gain control selection in Quick menu. 2. Time...- benoliver999

Some credit cards have better rates than others, and some have no fees while others do. All depends. I have one I use specifically for travel because I don't get charged for foreign cash withdrawals etc etc- benoliver999

They marked it as lower on mine so I didn't have to pay too much, cost me £17.50 in the end but that is including the Fedex processing fee (which was more than the tax iirc...!)- benoliver999

I don't know if it will be. There was a link to a Polish site earlier in the thread which may be what you are after. I am UK based and got it from Jaben Singapore. Excellent service there. I also hear good things about Musicteck.- benoliver999

I have 22886 files on there at the moment with no issues. I can't find any mention of a limit in the manual. This is partly what people are talking about when they say 'simple but solid' UI. Not many cheaper players can take 2 x 400GB cards full and handle a library that size.- benoliver999

I find MTP to be very shaky and I would definitely not try it to transfer hundreds of GB of data. On Windows it is barely passable, on MacOS I'm not sure it works at all and on Linux it is quite flaky. It makes a lot of sense on modern Android devices because USB mass storage requires the...- benoliver999

I'm a week in and I have some observations, good and bad. Good: - Sounds fantastic - Rock solid UI. Android but they have done a careful job of skinning it. - Dual SD means I can carry all my stuff all the time - Very nice build quality - No wifi/BT etc. Not everything in life needs an IP Bad...- benoliver999

I finally got there! Speed was slow but timeouts were the real killer. I have posted it here: https://transfer.sh/KMuQ1/Opus1S-1.00.02.zip UPDATE: I also posted the manual because that took ages too: https://transfer.sh/14Di0R/OPUS1S_MANUALENG_01.pdf Link should last 2 weeks, perhaps longer...- benoliver999

Very impressed with Jaben Singapore, thank you for the recommendation! The device is great, the total lack of bull features is just what I needed.
