Can anyone suggest a good DAP with a really good AMP in it(under 1k). Does not matter, if it is used. It seems most of the DAP's can't really drive the good closed back headphones with enough dynamics. (in-spite of the ungodly amounts these DAP companies charge). Closed cans like Aeon, Atticus...

As the title says, I am looking to buy an amp for home & travel needs. I prefer a dark sound[ 650, LCD2]. I understand that the carbon needs to be plugged in, but I can live with it if the sound is much better than mojo. Appreciate any advice.

I have recently been introduced to the world of good audio. I have heard 2 headphones till now. [Grado 225 & Senn HD 650]. I mostly listen to classical music[symphonies, sonata's etc], but sometimes l will also listen to some rap music & music scores which will come out better on headphones...
