    Roland Super UA

I have this very same interface since 2017 and I can confirm confirm everything written here. I actually work with it. I also have the little brother, the Mobile UA which retains the same sound translation and resolution, but the amp is not as powerful. That being said it works amazingly with...

This man is correct. The 600ohm version with the A20 is super close to my ER4SR, with the DT880 having more sub-bass, I imagine closer to the ER4XR.

    Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone

Thanks! So, would I be right to encompass the 1990 as "a refinement of the 880 600 sound bar a small loss of the mids in exchange for the extension of the bass and treble"? What left me more surprised of the 880 600 (which I recently acquired as I had doubts of my 880 250 pros) is that there...

    Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone

Hello wise citizens of the DT 1990 thread. Anyone here with long experience with the DT 880 600? If so, I would love to know what I stand to gain if I get a 1990. I currently own a 1770 but I have come to notice that I enjoy more, and work better with, the 880 600. So my interest towards the...

600ohm is as recent as Amazon has it in stock. My 250ohm is the grey/silver Pro, perforated cup, as standard issue as it gets, bought in 2016 from a beyer dealer store.

OK. I think I may now be a few pages closer to the community on this thread than what I was before. I MIGHT be on the on the same page, but I leave that up to you all to say. I did further burn in on my 250ohm 880s and nothing changed. I also changed the pads to a worn pair of velours from my...

My understanding is that the Ety target, which the ER4SR resemble very well has a lower bass than the Harman target. It appears, from what I am reading recently, that those who prefer the Harman target need this bass which I am finding hard to take in.

I have been a very lucky owner/user of the ER4SR almost since launch. I find myself in a position where I would like to find, if possible, a full size headphone that has the same sound signature. I know that by using these almost daily (along with a Beyer 1770) I have gotten used to their...

Yes. I use the foam pads with the ER4SR and the seal is perfect. I use them, along with the 1770, at my home and not only outdoors. I don't have a noisy home. I use the 1770 with the silver velour pads as I dislike them with the leather pads. I have been doing some more research and it looks as...

Reporting back. My 880s now have about 50hrs of burn in. I used a "burn in" playlist from Spotify that included Snoop Dog, white noise and others. I also used Die Antwoord. First at mid volume and then louder than I would listen to. I took them apart thinking I may have some fake drivers. They...

Thanks for the detailed replies I shall give them the hours of burn in. I don't think they have even 10hrs of play time thanks to my initial disappointment in them. I shall report back in a couple of weeks.

I don't know much about the sound signature of the 600ohm version. To follow up on your points: 1. Maybe. How long should I give them? What sort of tracks would suit this wear in time? 2. I bought them at a reputable London store, so I doubt they may be fake. Are there fake DT880s? 3. They are...

No. I have the pads it came with. Have not changed them. I wonder if it's like the man speaks of above...the sound will change and the bass will settle. I wonder if it's worth keeping them...

I have some questions for all of you, distinguished owners of the 880 I have the 880 Pro version I bought some time ago and I was underwhelmed by it. I kept it and recently thought of giving it another run. My set up is the Roland UA S10 interface feeding the Beyer A20 amp. I have the 1770...
