Tge shuoer tape ate very good. Found treble a little sharp to begin with but with 100+ hours. Found the mids recessed but added 3mm foam behind the grill and works very nicely- gtrx333

It was kbear. Yeah, the st7 has me intrigued seeing the praise the ej07 and Roland get. I was wanting to see if the tri i3 would be better than the obravo. It's a funny thought, that for the cheaper iem I am too impatient to wait but for the more expensive one, I'm alright waiting. I also have...- gtrx333

Guys I cancelled my tri i3 order, its been more than 10 days and they still hadn't shipped, and they weren't communicating as to why that was the case. I have instead decided to replace it with the y**y** st7. Will take some time to ship as well but more intriguing I think.- gtrx333

Since the last software update it rarely happens now. Only on occasion when using tidal with a external dac. Also I've kinda found why the s10e headphone jack sounds rubbish. When the volume is increased (into the orange region) the sound changes, the mids suddenly become recessed and more v...- gtrx333

I find the headphone jack output very poor on my s10e exynos. It makes all my gear (IMR r1z, final e5000, mr speakers aeon, beyer t51p) all sound like warm, muddy crap. The headphone dongles with my previous phones were much better in terms of audio quality. Despite having a headphones jack, if...- gtrx333

Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread
I have to say, I am finding the final e5000 benefits a lot from using balanced out from my topping dx7s. With the stock cable, the sound is quite warm and feels slow and a bit muddy when it comes to more complex metal tracks. But with the balanced cable, it opens up the mids and adds a little...- gtrx333

Sony MDR-1000X
Just reporting in, I have used the mdr1000x in the gym for the past 6months (Or even longer). I took out the foam inserts and replaced the pads with a aliexpress pair which are a bit smaller (on the verge of on ear) but alot more padded. They are much more comfortable now and they have held up...- gtrx333

Has anyone tried connecting their phone to a usb dac? I have a s10e exynos and when I connect to my Topping dx7s, I get popping sounds along with the audio. Happens regardless of cable and doesnt happen with my previous phone. Tried disabling dolby, selecting charge phone only under usb...- gtrx333

The stock tips have become uncomfortable for me. I am using some trinity audio hybrid tips. They have a slightly narrower nozzle which gives it a slightly punchier sound and the silicon is a lot softer in the ear and gives better seal. For me, the pink filters + trinity tips are a winning combo...- gtrx333

The silver cable has a nice supple feel to it. It feels a bit rough around the edges as it doesn't have the notch you so can only put it in one direction and the pins seem to be a bit too close on mines. I forced them in but now the pins are bent apart slightly.- gtrx333

A lot of people had noticed problems with strange treble energy, poor sound staging and general out of phase sound with their first units. The replacements fix all that. Try out both and keep the one you like.- gtrx333

Much better, doesn't have the strange treble, treble is now delicate and shimmery, vocals are airy, maybe a bit on the cold side. Mids are a bit recessed on some of the filters but oranges seem decent. Bass is too boomy on some filters, needs a bit of time to settle and maybe new filters...- gtrx333
