Is this configurable? I can hear it kick on at -40db which is normal-ish volume on my cans, and it isn't exactly positive (depending on track).

I get a hum when I touch my Lyr3, but didn't have this issue on my Jot. It's kind of annoying, but my house was built in the 60s and I know the wiring is a bit goofy. I think I have to file this under the old joke: "Doc, it hurts when I touch my knee!" "Then stop touching it!"

More or less this. Suspension headband is definitely best. Cup depth is more than adequate. I find with the ear-shaped cups it takes more effort to get them situated just right and the heavy cups put a bit of pressure on the soft point below the ears.

Not sure what I think of these so far. They have a nice rich smooth quality too them, and lend well to feeling like your in an intimate room with the piece, but I find them a bit lacking in punch and imaging. Bass feels textured and smooth, but maybe I'm wanting something a little tighter...
