i have a zhaolu 2.0. After modified, I can really say it improved more than 60%. I am serious. I think zhaolu 2.5 is a good buy too. And in case you want to get it modified, you will not be dissappointed.

none of these software plug-ins will work perfectly to me, i think the inbuilt one worked alright. (nevertheless, I usually switch it off)

to be honest, i read through the whole thing when i am new to 1212m. i also feel the patchmix is somehow unstable in some situation. but anyway, the card itself is very great at this price range

it is very true that my hearing ability started to decline after listening to IEMs. even at very low volume with er4p (very good isolation)

i suggest playing music though flash-type MP3 players. who cares cheapy mp3 players failed :P

i think it is impossible to have IEM close to cans, especially people are running them on nice amps.
