Yes i have the same issue.. So for a few weeks with new pads im still feeling the off-balance. Is there a way to maybe get bigger / more covering pads? I want to improve the passive noise-cancelling. I've just seen this video on the subject. Kinda what im going for i guess.

Okay, so i just changed the pads which improved soundquality by a long shot! I still feel theres slightly more sound to the left, but it might be placebo. Ive tested back and forth with my HD700s. Im going to try to get them measured soon to see what actually happens in them.

Thank you guys! I have ear plugs/tunnes and pretty big ears... But i will replace the pads and see what happens, then maybe do some more mods if im not happy.

Im not sure how to describe it, but it seemed to me that both headphones where slightly darker than what im used to. The only minus i could find in HD700 (for my tastes) was the emphasis on the low mids (200-350hz ish). Made them sound slightly muddy compared to hd800.   But yea, i definitely...

Well, i need the bass to really "shine". Fast attack and good impact, but not to much. I prefer quality to quantity. My DT800's are pretty neutral, and i love neutrality, but i want something a little more fun. I've read that the hd700 has a really good bassresponse, so thats why im leaning...

Have checked the HiFiMan EF-2A out. Looks much better than the O2 , but how does it compare? I've heard tube amps tend to colour the sound, and that might not be optimal with studio use. Also if i ever upgrade to K701 or Sennheiser 650, can the HiFiMan EF-2A run those?

Hey guys! I've recently bought the dt880 for use in my studio and they are great, but i have my M-Audio Mobilepre MkII at max and it isn't loud enough. I was wondering if the O2 amp would be an good option. Also im not sure i need a dac as im not sure how to hook it up with the sound card. If...
