Huge Comparison of [almost] all the Best Bluetooth Headphones - post your own comparisons here

I do have to say that after buying ALL the various Airpod versions there have been the Airpod Pro 2's came as a very pleasant surprise. To me the biggest surprise was not the great sound (much better than any previous versions and even better than the Bose) but the great fit (for me ALWAYS a...

As someone with a large head but (more importantly) large ears, I still can't recommend anything better than the Sony WH-1000XM3. Now, if your ears aren't large perhaps you'll find much better, but these are the only ones I've ever found to be comfortable over my own head and ears (everything...

I'm still using my Sony XM3 and I agree it sounds wonderful but for me the biggest factor is comfort -- I tested literally dozens of phones and they are the ONLY wireless phones I can wear for more than 20 minutes without hurting my ears (I can actually wear them for hours without issues). I...

I absolutely LOVE my XM3 and can't even contemplate another headphone nowadays, but I don't think this would be to the poster's liking in terms of weight. While they aren't "heavy" they aren't lightweight like a lot of portables (then again, going lightweight means no bass to speak of). I...

Yes, I recently compared the Bose Quiet Comfort II to the Sony WH1000m3, and the Sony was superior. Now, there are a LOT of factors that go into that decision, and YMMV. Quite a bit, in point of fact. For me the showstopper was comfort -- I could wear the Bose no more than about 15 minutes...

It's hard to beat those Sony even though they do have NC (you can always turn it off). Excellent comfort, sound, portability and great battery life (30 hours). If you just mean "cheap" then you will sacrifice some of those things (like we used to write on the software blackboard for our users...

Thanks! I really appreciate this heads up (they didn't even show up on the lists I was looking at, they are so new). After reading the reviews these certainly sound (no pun intended) like I should check them out (I'm putting these and the Bose on my "Black Friday" watchlist just in case I find...

Sorry, revisiting this thread after many years now (last time I was looking at wireless bluetooth headphones was 2014 when I checked out about a dozen). My main problem with over-the-ear phones is either my ears are just too weird (too big? I didn't think so and I didn't think they stuck out...

The two I mention above -- Fidelio X2 around the house, and Powerbeats on the go.

I'm still around, although not here <g>.   I'm so happy, more or less, with my music solution I haven't felt a pressing need to check anything further out (plus I need to let Amazon calm down about all my returns :>).  I also have not yet received my bTunes receiver yet, so when that comes I...

    High End Bluetooth Headphones

The BTunes can come with either the 2.5 or the 3.5 jack (and, no, folks you can't use a converter -- there's no converter on the market that is narrow enough on the entire plug length to fit any headphone with a 2.5mm jack, as the opening is just too deep.  Trust me, been there, not done that...

    High End Bluetooth Headphones

They do Apt-x.   I've used a TON of other small BT receivers (I currently have three different ones I use with my headphones) but the BTunes one is the only one I've ever seen that's completely integrated (the plug is part of the receiver).  It's also the only one that can be purchased with a...

Here's the link to the current site for BTunes (the portable BT solution for nearly all headphones):   http://www.thebtunes.com/   I have not received mine yet but have gotten updates from the developer regularly and everything seems to be on schedule.

No, the firmware update does NOT fix the iPhone/iPod issue (just FWI).   I would not recommend the Bose if you are planning on using it with iOS.

Ah, sorry, old man moment (actually, in my life they are ALL old men moments :>).   Powerbeats, of course.  With the right Comply earpieces (and you will need to experiment -- I had to try three different types and four different sizes to find the ones that were "perfect") they are...

MP3Gain works fine for me -- never found any music that is too loud or soft when using it at the default settings.   Are you track leveling?  You need to do this (and not doing album analysis or leveling, which only works within a single album and not across more than one album).

I'm not sure what you mean other than I haven't tried the BT Fidelio?  If so, that's true, but given how much better my Sennheiser 598s are compared to even the Plantronics Pro I'm going to guess they will still be significantly better than it.  But I'm definitely willing to give it a try...

Well, now I have to apologize to you.   I went back and checked my BT receivers (the ones I'm using on my "wired" phones) and, sure enough, there was almost no lag on any of them.   Since they aren't BT 4.0 I'm going to -- tentatively -- assume this is the main difference.  I'll have to look...

It's just Equalizer -- there are lots of write ups on it out there about it being the best EQ app, but here's a link to it:   https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/equalizer/id321267949?mt=8   I've actually got about five EQ apps but Equalizer is the only one that still lives on my iOS devices...

I actually use Equalizer for the most part in playing music on my iPhone -- best EQ app out there and can make even a poor headphone sound good (and a good one great).   There will always be a lag in audio using BT on any video application -- it's the nature of the beast.  There are some video...

No skipping on the Sony -- I *have* had that skipping issue with the Bose Soundtrue On-Ear (which is kind of what started me on this quest to find the perfect bluetooth solution) so I know what you are talking about.  But I have not had it on any other bluetooth headset I tried (and I've tried...

    Bluetooth headphones for the gym

Yeah, and I realize this won't be that helpful either if you are dead set on your requirements, but the absolute best workout BT phones are the Beatmasters.   Yep, in-ear but *comfortable* in-ear (and I don't LIKE in-ear phones), particularly when used with Comply foam tips.  You don't have to...

Right, for some reason I was confusing NFC in my mind with AptX.  Yes, indeed, AptX is a (probably) better codec for connecting via bluetooth but isn't anything I can test (I can't test NFC either, despite my iPhone having that technology, since it currently only works for Apple Pay, although...

Oh, I should mention one more thing (or two) about the Pentalumic...   First, the controls aren't bad -- there is an odd sort of general purpose button that is like the stem on an old watch (or the new Apple watch :>) with a knurled top that you can adjust for volume.  It's a kind of...
