Hey I'm new to Head-Fi and I'm stuck between two choices. I can either get the Senn HD 600 W/ The Schiit Magni/Modi combo or the HIFI MAN HE-500 with just an amplifier (I would be using my Macbook Pro's DAC and using either the fiio e12 amp or the schiit vali amp).   Is the HE 500 more picky...

How would this combo sound okay without the DAC?   Would It sound BETTER than what I have so far ? (HD 558 directly plugged into macbook pro, I think this sounds pretty good to me already )
