iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

I can confirm LHDC is not supported to the "maximum".

“Touch latency” = Typical bad wording. Touch controls are the worst aspect of the device. As to user friendliness on these devices, a touch control pad doesn’t compare to a tactile button, other advantages not withstanding.

I assume “touch latency” = how many milliseconds of touch it takes to activate a button? If so, the higher the value, the less “sensitive” it is.

The ability to disable the touch controls is the best feature they've added so far. If you're carrying your source with you, and it has the Gaia app, you don't even need the touch controls.

My first thought on the head turning dropouts is that the implementation of "True Wireless Mirroring" isn't optimized, or compromises were made in the software for some reason (unknown to us, obviously). I wonder if other TW solutions using the same Qualcomm chipset have the issue as well...

Agreed. For me, the Go Pods have been relegated to when I’m not on the go, but don’t want wires. :) They do sound very good, no question.

My impression is that this iteration of the product is as good as it's going to get. I would hope the next version will not have touch controls, but I won't buy it. I went for the Go Pods, but if I could go back, I would not have purchased them. Though the sound quality isn't quite as good...

My opinion on the touch controls is that they aren't the best user experience. I understand why they were employed because of no moving parts and the space savings (and they look cool), however, such a small device with touch controls right next to the skin of my ear doesn't seem the best...

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

Greetings to you in Estonia! I too had some issues. I have tried on a PC and on my Galaxy s20+ phone. The initial pairing on the PC took a few tries, but once it connected there were no issues and I could reconnect easily. However, with the s20+, the LHDC One does not pass any audio...

Perhaps there are multiple hardware revisions of the Go Pods with different rates of this issue with the drop outs occurring. I notice that the downloads page gives two different possible formats of the serial number required before download. Perhaps users could note which “range” of serial...

https://www.hwa-audio.org/copy-of-how-it-works Perhaps the Go Pods are only "gold". I am curious if anyone has connected the Go Pods to any device using LHDC at 24/96. They only connect to the "LHDC One" adapter at 24/48.

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

I have two types of sources: multiple PCs and the s20+. I have tried 2 Windows 10 and a Windows 11 and it always connects at 24/48. My reasoning is based on the manual excerpt I posted earlier: The BT connection is between the Go Pods and the LHDC One, and the connection is supposed to be...

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

The more I'm thinking about this, regarding the connection to the Go Pods, the more I think the source device the "LHDC One" is connected to doesn't influence the connection between the "LHDC One" and the Go Pods. The source would only affect the content passed to the "LHDC One". The BT...

Hey, @Nick24JJ, thanks for confirming it's not the Go Pods, must be the LHDC One in combination with my source that is limiting my config to 24/48.

That could be the issue, I only have a Windows 10 laptop and an s20+ to test with. There is no software or driver in either case for the LHDC One. Interestingly, in Windows it shows up as "SBC 48" when you go to select an output device (doesn't sound promising for quality but it does sound...

I, too, can get LDAC 990 on the Go Pods with my Samsung Galaxy s20+ @96Khz with the Sony Music Gallery app installed. --confirmed in dev options. In this case, I am referring to the LHDC codec coming from the "LHDC One" specifically (which supports up to 24/192). Just trying to add some data...

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

Just want to report to potential "LHDC One" purchasers that the Go Pods can only connect at 24bit/48Khz. Hopefully, it is correctable with new Go Pods firmware. I would love to get 192, just for the ability to up sample both 44.1 and 48Khz content simultaneously with "better" math. Not that I...

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

I purchased the LHDC One to get a Hi-Res connection from my Windows laptop (which doesn't support any Hi-Res BT codecs natively). The sound is definitely better than the laptop's built-in BT connection that used SBC codec under Windows--with not very good range. So, in general, I'm happy. I...

I've only had it since this morning, but I've listened to Tidal on my Galaxy s20+ and Tidal on my work laptop. So far I've only connected at 24bit 48khz, but the sound is quite good and the connection has been stable.

I'm pretty happy with this combo: LHDC One -> Go Pods -> Shure se846 The only downside is "no calls"/"no voice" using LHDC One. And all in the palm of my hand! Amazing

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

I received a pair of these this week. Paired with Shure se846’s, the sound is nearly as good as a wire when using LDAC990. I have used my laptop with the Alternative A2DP driver and with a Galaxy S20+ after installing Sony Music Center and it worked well. I should have an LHDC One next week...
