that is the problem... the only other IEM's ive had were cheaper low quality ones... I cant even find the model number of the samsung ones I mentioned!- penfold1992

well that was my initial thought, and the double flanged tips looked interesting but they also didnt feel too comfortable I prefered the regular tips. I then tried the foam tips which I dont normally like because I take my headphones out a lot and foam tips are a bit more of a hassle imo but I...- penfold1992

hmm... yes but it might just be me that feels this way... I am no audio expert to be able to judge this. Maybe the bass is fine and as I mentioned, the bass is definitely pumping at a high volume, I can feel my inner ear pulse with the bass at high volume but at low volume, kick drums sound like...- penfold1992

Recommend IEM's < $120 for use at work
after taking some further looks and more deliberation here is my current thoughts: RHA MA750i - Only one with in-line controls, appears to be highly rated though for its sound GR07 - probably the ones I would choose if I dont necessarily need in-line controls.
