Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I'd be interested in a Cd transport or integrated player, I stream music but also really enjoy physical media. TBH Urd is on the radar for Q1 2024 no matter what.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Modi size means it's most likely to be used with Rekkr, so the risk of blowing things up isn't too great. But as I type I realize you have to plan for the worst case, someone using this to control a Tyr/Klipschorn combo. No knob, LED volume indication? Mid sized unit, with 2 inputs and a...

YES. A rotary encoder added on would be nice but even as it is presented now it would be an immediate buy.

I agree, and I hate to go any further, but... This is a good review and I'm sure it's pertinent info but I have to ask-why are you posting it in this thread? I feel there are more appropriate places for this type of post, in the more generalized forums. I mean no disrespect and do not want to...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Perfect products, perfect timing for me. I set up a bedroom system using odds and ends and I’m enjoying it much more than I thought I would. The question for me is Modi/Rekkr or Modius/Gjallarhorn? Something fun to puzzle over today…

Car pedant warning - the yellow '57 of Ableza is a 2 door post wagon, the Nomad was an up market option that had slanted b and c pillars, as seen on the red car, along with the flashier belt trim.

I agree completely with this. A bare bones balanced Sys would be nice, but a Freya P as described would get my dollars. I have a Khozmo passive in my 2 channel system and I really like it, but I'd love to have more Schiit and this is a hole in the line-up.

Yeah, I think "True Multibit" is a winner. I'd prefer "Burrito Filter" but Janus is ok too. That got a laugh out of me, thanks!

What a long, strange trip it's been -- (Robert Hunter)

Thank you Mike, reading this makes me believe the transport is now a certainty. I've been hoping but afraid that it might not come to pass. I am really excited for this! Brilliant, simply brilliantly stated. I'm not good at putting my thoughts into print, but this editorial says a lot about...

This, this, a hundred times this. If you don't want a CD transport, great! Keep it to yourself please. There's a lot of things that Schiit experiment with that I don't want or need, but I realize they're not making things just for me. I'm just excited they're involved with this hobby. Bosie...

I'm using a CD-200 and have been very happy with it, but if Schiit came out with a transport i would be on it in a heartbeat.

From the manual: 1 and 2 Speaker Outputs. When using Vidar as a mono amp, connect your speaker to the two top red terminals only. Right is “+”, and left is “-”. Please note both of these are active outputs—do not ground one of them! Sounds better though eh? Hmmmm.
