Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
What kind of audio files were used to make these comparisons? Does the Iphone 5S support ALAC/FLAC?- ZX1ZX1

Same here. I use the Sennheiser IE 80 (I'm very satisfied with them, by the way. No problems with a supposed over-emphasized bass). My comparison iphone4s/zx1 can be disregarded, by the way, since I used 256 AAC files on the iphone and ALACs on the zx1.- ZX1ZX1

I haven't heard the iphone 5s, but the sony certainly beats my iphone 4s. But on some tracks/albums, I do hear a bit of noise/hiss, but it doesn't really bother me. Playing around with the EQ solves the problem.- ZX1ZX1

I don't have much earphone experience, but I see what you are saying. The clamping pressure doesn't bother me and the earcups are the perfect size for my ears, the headband is the part I least like, that could have been better. The only other over--ear headphone I own is the AKG 550, which is a...- ZX1ZX1

Yes, maybe the IE80s are the answer when set to minimum bass. I think my ZX1 is the EU model (bought from the german sony online store).- ZX1ZX1

Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
After testing the Sony ZX1 for some weeks I am very satisfied. The sound with the NAD Viso HP50 is spectacular. Especially well-recorded, acoustic Jazz like that on the ECM label (ALAC files). Just superb detail and soundstage. Only small gripe is the fact that I have to turn up the volume to...- ZX1ZX1

Also disabled many in-built Apps without any negative effects. Now thinking about the nova launcher, although the home screen doesn't really bother me much. What about the widgets, can they be deleted?- ZX1ZX1

The Sony Zx1 sounds superb even with my cheap Yamaha in-ears. with the NAD hp 50, it is spectacular! Now I'll be searching for higher grade in-ears. My favourites are Shure 425, though they are an investment as well. Does anybody have this combination?- ZX1ZX1

I think I won't risk it for now. It is my first Android device (and it was expensive as well).- ZX1ZX1

Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
Thanks! I did that with my existing albums. The rest I'll have to manually embed in Itunes, there's probably no elegant way around it. One more question, I'd like to get rid of many pre-installed apps and widgets. They probably can't be uninstalled, but they give me a warning when I press...- ZX1ZX1

This is my first post-thanks for the many good tips from many posters. I just got my ZX1 and am very satisfied with it. Slight problem: The cover Art from my ALAC Files has not been recognized. I downloaded Cover Art Downloader and it found most of the Art, but the stock player still ignored it...- ZX1ZX1
