Agreed with both @irablumberg and @tusing. I wish this wasn't the case because it a very well built and attractive pair but the overly empower bass makes them less enjoyable. I like bass but not when they dominate the rest of the spectrum.- 8lias

RHA T10i Tour & Impressions Thread
Well build. Looks great. Lot of tips included. A bit dark and muddy for my taste, even with the Treble filters. I have the opportunity to grab it at $120 (wish list discount) but I'll pass. RHA t20i with a bit of midrange and fuller sound signature like the Senn Momentum In-Ear perhaps?- 8lias

Alpine headphone, innovative or silly?
I had a chance to try it today. Impressive sound to say the least. Bass you can actually "feel" as if you are in a car with a subwoofer. A bit muddy. High and Mid are attainable via the Level Play companion App (which only works with musics on your device, not Spotify, Pandora, or any type...- 8lias

[REVIEW] Westone Adventure Series ADV Alpha - A Thing That Goes Thump in the Night
I almost grabbed the Alpha when it went on sale for $149 but refrained because I knew only a matter of time when they'll release a version that let me wear it the typical straight down cable routing. I dislike the over the ear style. I hope they release it soon. A bit tired of the Hippo VB.- 8lias

The S4i has a bit too much of irritating highs for my taste. How's it compare with the S4i? Does it have more bass than the S4i? Thanks- 8lias

[REVIEW] Westone Adventure Series ADV Alpha - A Thing That Goes Thump in the Night
Thanks for the review. I visited earphonesolutions and almost order a pair based on your review. I like your emphasis on it's being a bass head unit in comparison with my experience with the Hippo VB that died a week ago. I loved the Hippo VB, I only wished it has a remote so this ADV pairs...- 8lias

[REVIEW] Hippo VB: Bassy, Bassier, Bassiest!
There's a saying that your electronics usually break within the first year. My first hippo saw its fate, the left side is no longer ringing. It's been exactly a year. Oh well, $80 well spent I'd say.- 8lias

Mine came in today from Amazon. To my surprise, it's black instead of silver like the picture shown. I immediately check its authenticity that Fiio nicely provided on the box via a series of numbers that you can check on their website to see if it's indeed authentic. To my relieve, it's...- 8lias

[REVIEW] Hippo VB: Bassy, Bassier, Bassiest!
Quote: Agreed. It's my favorite pair as you can see I've a few in ear collections. It shines after a good burnt in. There are two things I wish it has is an iPod remote and better cord material. For the price, this thing is hard to beat.- 8lias

Loudest Bass IEM
I enjoy the Hippo VB tremendously. I wish one day they'll make one with the remote control. For the price point, bass quality, well made, and fast shipping from Jaben, it's surely a win-win pair. With the DAC, it sounds even better. Please Hippo, include the remote, thanks.- 8lias
