Need help! Sub 140$, portable, isolating over-ear headphones, mostly for rock
The 440's cable is detachable and available in a non-coiled form just as an FYI but the comfort could be a concern if you are sensitive to headphones that make your ears feel really warm after a while.- pjs37

Need help! Sub 140$, portable, isolating over-ear headphones, mostly for rock
I have a friend who has the Shure 440's she quite likes them and wears them for a long while so they are likely comfortable and it sounds like it does a good job isolating. Maybe something to consider?- pjs37

Looking for <20 audio solution
The HARX700 has a pretty strong following here and they can be modified for even better sound if you so desire. For the money its a pretty good bang for the buck. They are big but man they are comfy. And the sound is actually pretty good. Better then the Koss UR20's we used in our training...- pjs37

Can't Decide!!! Etymotic HF5 or HifFiMan RE400
So I do own a set of HF5's and I love them and they are very good. My biggest issue and why I don't hardly use them anymore unless I want to block out ALL noise is that I find the microphonics on them to be just outright insanity inducing. I know this can be an issue on most IEM's but for...- pjs37

recommendations for Asus xonar u7 usb - speakers or power speakers ?
So I don't know much specifically about that one card but generally PC cards in general will not power a desktop speaker on its own. Generally you need a powered speaker for PC setups as the slots and USB ports do not provide that much power on their own (At least as far as powering something...- pjs37

Sennheiser Momentum vs. NAD Viso HP-50
So another one that would be worth looking at IMO is the V-Moda M-100's. I was torn between those three headphones (The Momentums, the HP-50's and the M-100's) I ended up with the HP-50's based on InnerFidelity's recommendation and the type of music I tend to listen to. Also it helped they...- pjs37

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Someone did post a headband mod though where it is I forget. And I am on my ipad ATM so a bit slower to navigate. But it's there. It's very hit or miss it seems I angle mine on my head that makes them pretty comfy.- pjs37

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
So I just got the NAD HP50's and my thoughts so far as it pertains to what I have used so far (Harmon Kardon CL, HD25-1 II, Momentum On-Ears, Bose IE2, Etymotics HF5) in my continued search for comfortable portable noise isolating headphones: 1) The cables are really short. Even from my...- pjs37
