I just bought Audeze LCD-X. Had to max the 507 to drive these, so I got a iFi Micro Black to drive them (I'll soon post my kickstarter to help cover next months mortgage payment). Got my X7 yesterday. Love the sound and the UI is much better than X5. It has some trouble with some albums, listing each track as a separate album. Used a 200GB card and it is working fine. Loaded Pandora and it works great.

Really enjoying the sound of my X5 and amplifier. Wish the software had the functionality of itunes. I miss playlists, fast scrolling and the apple lockout. Also the ability to play all songs by an artist.

I believe it won't charge [well] off computer. Charge it direct from outlet.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been very skeptical of connection cables having a large impact on sound quality. Particularly when traveling such a short distance. The size of the wires inside the device are tiny. the old adage that a  chain is only as strong as weakest link adage makes me think...
