Congratulations on the new headphones. I got a pair of SR-80's as my first pair a long time ago, and still occasionally break them out for use now and again.

I'm in too, and thinking of ordering a 2nd pair in case I lose the first one. Sometimes I just leave them in rather than switching to full-size cans when I get home at the end of the day, which is really frightening...

You should definitely do yourself a favor by listening to some. I've been looking for a CDP for awhile now (That's 90% of the fun is looking right?), and it's amazing how you can actually hear the difference in sound between sources. Maybe you'll find that the Marantz is just right for you, but...

I just bought the Meterman 37XR and love it. Does everything I need it to around my projects at home. It came with a free infrared temperature sensor as well.

FWIW - For most people using CAT5 wires as interconnectsit almost always has a Teflon jacket on it, which is supposed to be far sonically superior to PVC. I've been using some Teflon jacketed hookup wire that I bought from Allied for my last few sets of interconnects and have been really happy...
