Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I don't know about the 20's but the 10's are in no way overly bright even with 8 and 16k bands boosted from flat. At least from my M5. TWIN

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I don't quite get it. You are saying I have to give up the superior Sound of a mid-fi DAP/ DAC / Amp combo (Shanling M5 + Aune B1), for the inferior sound of an iPhone, And then Add the Cipher cable to make it sound Good? My isine 10's sound fantastic Flat and with Kmanns EQ suggestions...

Tyll's review is good but I totally disagree with his assertion that the isine only sounds good with the lightning cable. JMHO TWIN

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

IMHO The use of the lightning cable or i -device, as well as EQing, is strictly optional. My 10's sound pretty amazing with any DAP I have paired them with running Flat EQ. Playing with frequency bands is just seasoning to taste. TWIN

The n40 is more listenable and a more pleasing Iem overall, it is not as analytical as the SW3. TWIN

    AKG N40

Opinions differ. It's the Only semi-negative review I have read so far. With proper seal it has some of the tightest bass, for a dynamic driver, (which I personally prefer for bass reproduction over a B/A), I have heard on any Iem. Maybe you should read the What HiFi? Review or Headphonia's...

I don't know about the graph, but the N40 is quite a bit better than the PEOPLE that gave that review. It's polar opposite to every other review I've read, and my own personal opinion.. they obviously have it in for AKG. Sorry I wasted my time translating it. TWIN

"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions

No one said they were inefficient, but they DO require power to sound their BEST. BTW, my Class A Aune B1 only puts out 30mW unless you have a really high resistance like 320ohms. TWIN

    AKG N40

Don't Know. It's distortion specs are insane though, almost equivalent to the Mojo.

Let me be clear on this. The Zs5 are good for a $30 iem, but in NO WAY (IMO) do they concievably top the P1, not in balance, EQ, soundstage or clarity. They have more bass but not as good of quality. And for me personally they are horribly uncomfortable with those edges. TWIN

    AKG N40

Yes. Most DAPs have plenty of power without amps to push the N40 easily. I pair an amp with mine because of the sonic benefits it adds to the tone. In actuality the class A Aune B1 puts out far less power than the Shanling M5 that its connected to but the extra tone and richness is worth it, and...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I have used them with my Shanling M5/ Aune B1 stack FLAT EQ. They sound awesome. EQing them is a matter of Audio Preference, not required. I maxed the 1st 3 Bass frequencies on my 10 band equalizer, ONLY because I am somewhat of an admitted Basshead. Alas, I missed being given the true...

s4, If you want LOTS of power, the original FIIO E12 Mont Blanc, is a no Brainer. It sounds great with any DAP I have paired it with and it puts out a MASSIVE 800mW of power. PLUS it's within Your Budget and built like a Tank. TWIN

Shanling M5 Impressions & Discussion Thread

Jon, Be aware that the B1 runs in Class A, so at like 24 ohms even in High Gain it is only putting out 30mW of power but with almost no distortion-very similar specs to the Mojos. If you need POWER I would recommend the FIIO E12. Although it doesn't have the THD specs, it DOES have 800mW of...

For around $200 you aren't going to do any better than the Pai audios Chris mentioned, the Pinnacle P1 or the less- audiophile oriented but more versatile LZ A4. For a little less I can suggest the Magaosi K3 as well. All are top notch performers at their price. JMHO TWIN

The magaosi is a consumer EQ'd iem. It has exagerated bass to sound bigger. It is a very nice earphone. But the P1 is simply a more audiophile oriented iem. It has a flatter EQ and is quite balanced. It is also insanely comfortable, at least for my ears. I prefer the P1. JMHO My current top 3...

MEE Audio Pinnacle P1 - $199 Dynamic Driver Flagship *Reviews 2nd Post*

Zoide, For some FULLY addicted to this hobby, (that have the available funds), $800 isn't particularly shocking. I find myself quite happy in the $250-$500 range, and even that is stretching it a Tad. For me there is an issue with Price VS performance in the form of the Law of diminishing...

I have both the P1 and the Zs5 and I clearly find the P1 better pretty much all the way around. I find the Zs5 to have a very narrow sound stage, although Full the bass is lacking clarity and somewhat slow, the Mids are recessed. The Biggest thing though, for me PERSONALLY is the comfort. Thank...
