Edifier H840
Great headphones! I bought them for office use, and was overwhelmed by their sonic qualities for such low price. At home I use Creative Aurvana Live, and these are not far from Creatives in terms of sound quality and even more comfortable for long time listening sessions.- Incipit

Reply to review by 'incipit' on item 'Edifier P185 Headphones Hi-Fi Classic Earbud Style Earphones With Microphone - Grey'
I owned a pair of these some time ago - sound is mediocre, too much harshness for my taste, build quality is terrible, mic simply fell off after week of usage! Edifiers are good at big acoustics, but their headphones are trully disapointment. If you want a good headset, you should look at Fiio...- Incipit

PX100-II Review | Discussion Thread
I wanna share free advice for all, who suffers from PX100's sound being muddy, when connected to cheap onboard soundcards. I have crappy realtek chip on my office working PC, and PX100 sounds boomy and too dark with it, but also I have a 3.5mm jack on my LG monitor with hdmi cable (nvidia hdmi...- Incipit

Creative Aurvana Live! Review and Mods
I'm dissapointed, because I bought them based on great reviews here and on Amazon, and I was expecting something really special! But in fact, these headphones are suitable only under certain musical styles, such as classical, mainstream pop, maybe light rock. In electronical styles (trance, IDM...- Incipit

Creative Aurvana Live! Review and Mods
Can't understand what all of you talking about, guys - as for me, these headphones are absolutely harsh and unnatural sounding, with ear-piercing highs and sharp middle frequencies. I didn't even try any mods, because they are simply horrible. Personally I would stick with Sennheisers, Creative...- Incipit

PX100-II Review | Discussion Thread
Well, I sold my defected pair of PX100's (with unbalanced drivers) and bought another one, in new condition. On the new ones everything seems to be ok, and now I can say for sure that PX100II is one of the greatest sounding headphones in "non-audiophile" price range on the market. I owned Koss...- Incipit

I found the same issue with unbalanced drivers, as 7keys wrote. Don't you know, maybe recabling can solve this problem, or this is a driver fault?- Incipit

Kramer-mod... KSC75...
So, I decided to go further, and take off foam from back sides, then place it inside the earcup right behind the unprotected driver (with no stock grill on it). Now they're not over ear, but on ear. Also i take that cheap and sticky surface from cushions - now they felt like velour, very...- Incipit

(update) don't laugh, but Koss UR40 compared to Sennheiser HD650?
Remove the front grills on drivers on UR40 - and I think, you'll get close to these Senns as possible as it can be)- Incipit

Kramer-mod... KSC75...
I totally removed grills from my Koss UR40 (same drivers as KSC75), now the only thing between the driver and my ears is thin felt. And sound has changed significally, it's finally opened up! In stock they really bored me with sibilance and harsh treble, now this problem is partially solved. But...- Incipit

REVIEW: Fischer Audio FA-006 - Baby Brother To The FA-003....Antithesis To The Beats!
Got these babies today, quite impressed! Sound is warm, nice and pleasant - ideal for classic rock, jazz etc. Not as good in modern genres (metal, electronic), but i don't care. My previous headphones were Soundmagic P30 (too dull and muffled for my taste), Takstar 2050 (ear-piercing sound, too...- Incipit

Mate, I had same experience as you a few days ago. Due to very big amount of positive reviews and remembering my own experience, when I listened to them in store - I oredered a pair of TS-662. When I got them, my first reaction was "What is that? This is not what I expected!" In compare with HI...- Incipit

I would say, TS-662 impress me even more than TS-671 - they are not as wide in soundstage, but sound is pleasant and bass is just enough.- Incipit

As for me - 2050 are the most comfortable headphones in Takstar line-up. Using them all day long, and have no issues with discomfort. At first few days of use they were little tight for my head, but now they sit just fine.- Incipit

Burn in, good sound card and good quality records - with all of that 2050's will be useful phones. Not for all genres, but nevertheless they're quite good for its price.- Incipit

How did you damp your 2050's? Maybe you can make some photos? I can't understand that clearly, because on your link above there is no damping at all, in result. Also, i tried to pull off all the native dampening in my 2050's but sound dissapointed me.- Incipit

I tried to take off the white felt from my 2050's - no changes for the better, maybe sound became a little more open (and more tinny as well), but bass disappeared completely. So i return them to factory state and forgot about any possible mods.- Incipit

If you already ordered TS-662, then you don't need TS-671 - their difference is only in construction, drivers are the same.- Incipit
