As someone who owns both a Gungnir MB A2 and a Yggdrasil OG/A2, I would disagree that the Gungnir pushes it to it's limit. The Midgard absolutely scales with the Yggy, from my experience.

What caps did you use? What DAC are you using?

I presumed that was what you were referring to. In atomicbob's evaluation, he states "Platinum gain knob at approximately 11:00 to achieve 0 dB gain Bal, 1:00 for 0 dB gain SE". Unless he has stated otherwise more recently, I believe 1:30 is more than needed to achieve 0 dB gain, if that's what...

Where did you read that unity gain was 1:30 on the volume pot? Also, the position on the knob is going to be different depending on whether balanced or single-ended is being used.

Thanks, it just piqued my curiosity when you mentioned the omni sounding better balanced vs single ended. I found the same thing with my 650s with my set up.

Lol, Glad to see i'm still not the only one that made that mistake 

Gain should  be set to either none (all switches down) or +6. Depends on which one sounds better to you. If you're using rca instead of balanced just make sure the input switch is down.

Nice write up! If you're at almost full volume at times then you're amp isn't powerful enough to get the most out of those vibros. The amp might supply enough power to achieve high volumes but it's not supplying the power needed for those planar magnetic divers to deliver the sound they're able...

Sounds like a great pairing! Seems that all of Hifimans offerings pair extremely well with the H10. Guessing it's due to the laid back and warm nature of the H10. Well I hope they don't fail on you man cause no one should have to deal with faulty equipment after paying $200.
