You can solve this problem by simply downloading an apps called nightly from the playstore. I m not sure about the mechanism behind it but it works like a charm.

Campfire already included a pretty decent stock cable itself. ALO Litz cable. (Selling at $150). However I am still looking for potential upgrade from the stock cable. The version I got is the earlier Tinsel cable. Any suggestion of upgrade cable? Maybe around $100-300.

There are still benefit of rooting when you use it as DAP only. Mainly would be the permission to edit the Mixer_paths.xml file which turns normal mode of hifi DAC mode into Aux or High Impedance mode. The Sabre DAC only kicks in in Aux or High impedance mode. And it does make a big difference...
