I've been busy at work as of late, so I completely forgot to write my impressions. Before I start, I'm the kind of guy who can't hear a difference in cables and can barely hear difference between FLAC and MP3 for the majority of music (even though my collection is all FLAC). Well, here I go...

I have to admit it does offer a lot for the price, but I'm the kind of guy who likes price/performance-ratios, and the X1 didn't do much for that. It simply didn't offer enough in pure sound quality to justify the price tag, and even though it's a budget offering, $200 is still a lot to spend...

Well, the FiiO is double the price, but I'm expecting it to go on sale in time for Christmas (has done it before). The Sabre does, however, use the same DAC chip as the O2 with a pretty good TI amp, so I guess it will still sound better (even with 10 ohm output resistance). I don't expect...

So if I had to choose between a the Hifimediy UX1 and FiiO e17, the better choice would probably not be the lower impedance one?

Do you guys think the difference in 10 ohm output impedance and the less than 1 ohm would be noticeable with the X1s?

I sent it on to the next in line, but I was not impressed. That doesn't justify the price tag for me. Thanks for your help, though :) If it means anything, there is ZERO difference for me using native Creative ASIO drivers...   It was a MK2     That's too bad! I have already sent it on...

Used ASIO with X-Fi, couldn't find it for Aune X1.

First of all, I am not a veteran listener, therefore you might say I am objectively worse at doing this comparison. To those who don't already know, these are purely subjective opinions.   I just had the Aune X1 over for a listen for a week. Comparing it to my X-Fi XtremeMusic on my Fidelio...

Both of these will probably sound like your Realtek as well. I use a X-Fi XtremeMusic, and I couldn't tell a difference with my Fidelios on the Aune X1.

Can anyone compare this to the Aune X1? They seem quite similar, just not quite in price.

Good point. Might have to get those after I get a good amp, then :)   I will by the way get both the 681 EVO and the 681 B, so I can decide for myself. It seems these phones suit me best, and I can't decide on them. I can, after all, just send them back :D

I think the HD-681B or the EVOs would be where my choice lies because of my music tastes. I hear some say the EVOs are superior and some say they are not. Some say that burn-in completely changes the muddyness of the bass and that they have much better build quality, so which would you...

For my musics tastes and setup, I think it will be either HD-681 B or HD-681 Evo that I would get. I hear the build quality is better on the EVOs , but which would you recommend, CoiL?
